  2. He's so old that he shrunk into 125.
  3. Too bad Nelson Brands isn't wrestling...I think he would win.
  4. I mean, they've shown the math using the actual seeding criteria, so the premise of your thread has been objectively proven incorrect. So while you think it's "unfair" according to the agreed seeding criteria this is the only "fair" result. It sounds like your actual beef is with the seeding criteria. It sounds like you want to add a component that takes into account previous year results and whether someone was in the weight class the previous year.
  5. How has defending champ Richie Figs looked this year? I know he has two losses and did not win the Pac-12, and I know Luke Lilledahl is more talented than Braeden Davis, but I can't hope but be fearful that Figs will dethrone yet another #1 seed from Penn State at 125 like he did to Davis last year.
  6. Did you do the math and find that the criteria favored Keck over Starocci?
  7. Looks like the only way these two will ever wrestle is if they both make the finals this year! Arnold ducking again!
  8. Starocci won the big ten which is better than the big 12. That is undisputed.
  9. Isn't Hendrickson seeded higher than Kerk?
  10. If want to count past seasons you have to factor in 4 NCAA titles > 1 NCAA title.
  11. He had 2 losses (same as Hall) but Hall won his conference.
  12. Good draw for Lilledahl
  13. About to get started...
  14. That’s how the rule is supposed to work but they were calling it the opposite way
  15. At Big 10s getting pushed out meant an auto stall call on the wrestler getting pushed out.
  16. FRL talked about it. There are rules on what kind of underwear you weigh in in. You can't wear a thong, for example.
  17. Didn't Caldwell beat him earlier that season (by fall)?
  18. Caesar beat Gable in the semis, not the finals
  19. A 13th ranked Cody Brewer dominating Cory Clark Vincenzo Joseph pinning IMAR (then beating him again the following year) Vito making RBY look like a scrub Bubba pinning DT Other nominees?
  20. Shane Griffith and Mekhi Lewis (2 former NCAA champs) weren't elite?
  21. I am a Penn State fan but my 2nd favorite team to watch is Nebraska (notwithstanding the coaches). Their guys really get after it, are offensive-minded and fun to watch.
  22. Good point, Gene: 125 -finalist Lilledahl 3rd Lilledahl is more likely to be a finalist than Smith, who he is 2-0 against this season. 133 AA davis 8th Davis is a wildcard, if Van Dee is healthy I have it as a push to AA. 141 finalist Bartlett 3rd I would give Bartlett the same odds as Hardy to make the finals. 149 finalist Svn 3rd I would give SVN the same odds as Lovett to make the finals. 157 AA Kasak wins Kasak obviously is a favorite to make the finals. 165 AA Mess wins Mess is a lock to make the finals 174 AA Haines 2nd Haines at worst takes 3rd. 184 AA Star wins Starroci is a lock to make the finals and should win. 197 bloodround Bar 5th If Barr is at least 80% healthy he should at least AA. 285 Kirk 2nd At worst Kerk takes 3rd.
  23. Rosy take considering you have the entire team overperforming their projected seeds. I guess it's possible but it's likely most guys will only perform to seed and a few will underperform. #8 Smith to finalist. #17 Van Dee to AA (is he going to wrestle at NCAAs given the injury?) 141, 149 and 157 I can see happening #14 Minto to AA 174 I can see happening #10 Allred to AA #18 McDanel to R12
  24. Of course he has a chance. He's an undefeated conference champ and former NCAA champion. No one else is undefeated.
