  1. 1. Sanderson 2. Brooks 3. Starocci (would have been #2 without the knee injury) 4. Dake 5. Smith 6. Yianni 7. Stieber Brooks and Starocci over Dake because Dake had a much lower career bonus percentage
  2. #3 at 165 Julian Ramirez going 2-2 and not placing #5 at 165 Dean Hamiti going 2-2 and not placing
  3. Another nominee #5 at 174 Philip Conigiliaro went 0-2 BBQ. FRL highlighted how he was seeded 4 seeds higher than Starocci.
  4. You might be thinking #1 Braeden Davis going 2-2, but he lost to the eventual champ in Richie Figs and AA placer Volk. 125 was also such a crazy weight that being the number 1 seed meant very little in terms of predicative power. Instead, might it be #2 Bastida who also went 2-2? Bastida had knocked off all the top heavies and was coming for Kerk's head. Yet he failed to make the podium.
  5. Having a loss 99% of the time eliminates you from contention for the Hodge
  6. But Starocci technically has two losses this year.
  7. They really should switch. Haines is huge and Mesenbrink is a small 165 pounder. He got big brothered by Carr last night, especially when Carr was on top.
  8. Sadly I think his shoulder is cooked.
  9. Realistic contenders (must be undefeated): Brooks (4x NCAA champ) Keck (1x NCAA champ) Kerk (1x NCAA champ) Haines (1x NCAA champ) Unrealistic contenders: 1. Vito (has multiple losses but is a 2x champ) 2. Starocci (has multiple medical forfeits but is a 4x champ beating two former champs in Lewis and Griffith) 3. Carr (has multiple losses but is a 2x champ)
  10. The video in question
  11. Brands is consistently the second best coach in the country.
  12. Congrats to the guy who really deserved it. Coach Neil Erisman of Little Rock!
  13. Those who crave pushouts can watch sumo.
  14. I'm hearing Iowa. Along with TJ Stewart.
  15. 125 - Lilledahl (Davis RS) 133 - ? (Nagao) 141 - Bartlett (Kasak RS) 149- SVN 157- MM 165- Haines 174- Starocci 184- Barr 197- [transfer?] 285- Kerkvliet
  16. Does MM have a redshirt? I think he actually could use one to work on defense. His offense is elite but he can improve on defense and bottom.
  17. Does he have another year?
  18. The Fix-Vito match lasted almost 30 minutes in real time. More time was spent by wrestlers standing around waiting than actually wrestling. Can we start by making a rule that cumulative review time cannot exceed match time (i.e. 7 minutes)?
  19. By seed they were slated to finish 9th and they finished 5th. This is actually a really great performance by them. All the hoopla with gambling and the Ferarris and they almost doubled their predicted placement. Hats off to Iowa and the Brands. May their reign continue forever and ever.
  20. Which finals matches would have had a different winner as a result of there being a pushout rule?
  21. He should. Kasak should redshirt and SVN comes back. Kasak is a natural 141 and can slide in the following season when Beau is done.
  22. They seem to be the top threat. Michigan loses half of their team (all grad transfers: Deaug, Cannon, Gomez, Griffith, Davison)
