WORKER COMPENSATION ONLY 4.3% OF FEDERAL BUDGET
mspart replied to red viking's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
When was the last time you heard about the SS lockbox? Not dumb. It was never intended to be part of the normal budgeting process until someone decided to raid all the funds in the SS "lockbox". Now the lock box is full of IOUs. That's it. mspart -
UBs German utopia https://www.euronews.com/health/2024/02/05/germanys-health-crisis-why-europes-biggest-economy-is-fending-off-a-chronic-doctor-shortag Germany's health crisis: Why Europe's biggest economy is fending off a chronic doctor shortage In Germany, one in four doctors are leaving the profession. What is being done to nurse the healthcare system back to health? Germany is regarded by many to be a country of efficiency. People in other countries often assume that German trains depart on time, the Internet runs at a normal speed and the healthcare system is flawless. But for the latter, at least, the data shows they are wrong. December saw a closure of scores of doctors' practices across Germany, as many went on strike to protest worsening working conditions. But it's not just German doctors who are angry; Slovenian and Portuguese doctors have also walked off the job. In Italy, doctors and nurses protested in December. And in January, British junior doctors began their longest industrial action in the history of the UK's National Health Service (NHS). Oh so other countries are also in crisis. UB and RV must be so informed. mspart

UBs franco utopia! https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-64216269 France's health system under pressure of increasing demands The UK's health system is buckling under the weight of staff shortages and a lack of beds. In France, meanwhile, there are more doctors and many more nurses, yet its healthcare system is still in crisis. President Emmanuel Macron has promised to change the way its hospitals are funded, and to free doctors from time-consuming administration, in a bid to break what he called a "sense of endless crisis" in its health service. mspart

It isn't. But Al Gore told me it was. mspart -
I remember when you were a walking death sentence to everyone around you if you id not wear a mask. Even Rachel Maddow had to re-calibrate her thinking when the mandate went away.

I thought Social security was in a lock box. mspart -
Plus the ineffectiveness of masks has been known for ever. Our vet was not a fan of the mask mandate. mspart

It isn't for the health care brother. We have been told. https://thehill.com/opinion/healthcare/4886353-nhs-england-in-crisis-health-care/ The National Health Service in England, founded in 1948 to deliver health care directly to all in need following World War II, is in trouble. Not only is it broke, but it is also broken, as the new British Prime Minister Keir Starmer just pointed out in response to a recent government study. The waiting lines for care are prohibitive. A recent study revealed that 8 million people in the United Kingdom are waiting for their care, with 40 percent waiting for more than 18 weeks. An incredible 14,000 people died just last year while waiting for care in England’s emergency rooms. Despite the well-meaning and compassionate doctors and nurses in the NHS, it is impossible to justify a health system when you have to wait so long for potentially life-saving care. If you aren’t seen, it is impossible to determine severity and urgency. Oh yes, single payer utopia!!!! mspart
-
So then the government would be killing people as you say. That is already demonstrated. Also if single payer is so awesome, why is BC sending cancer patients to Bellingham WA for cancer treatments and guess what, there is no line for them to wait in. Yes, single payers is the utopia of medical care - NOT. For more wonderful news about single payer plans look at the Indian reservations and the V.A. Oh the VA is run so well. mspart

Anyone building a house or doing an addition?

I worked plastering in Phoenix back in the day. As hot as it was, I really felt for the roofers, road construction guys and the drywallers. Drywallers had it rough. Heavy sheets of sheet rock, no wind, feels like an oven. Wouldn't want that job. mspart -
Yes it was a big box office flop, but I thought the filming and story were good. I enjoyed it. Hopefully you will. I don't need to get hit in the head with something heavy and hard. mspart

Keep up WKN. You are confusing yourself. My priorities statement was based on your below statement. In fact I posted right after you. No need to try to be confusing. The priorities you outline may change. mspart -

Never got into Mad Max movies. I extraordinary a few favorites. Princess Bride, Stardust, Prince of Persia, John Carter of Mars, and League of extraordinary gentlemen. I also the Hulk movies. Granted they are not premier productions, but I love the Hulk. I have others that I have mentioned before, but i watch these repeatedly. I know some have been panned but I like them. Stardust is under rated i think. Great story!. mspart

Here's some statstics for DOE, DOE was established in 1979. Kids who were 6 years old then are now 50 years old. So that would be a majority of folks now living grew up with DOE in the federal government. https://www.abtaba.com/blog/us-literacy-statistics Top 10 Key US Literacy Statistics 14% of adults in the US can't read. 21% of adults in the US read below a 5th-grade level. 19% of high school graduates in the US can't read. 85% of juveniles in the US court system are functionally illiterate. 70% of inmates in the US prison system can't read above a 4th-grade level. 45 million adults in the US are functionally illiterate. 50% of adults in the US can't read a book written at an eighth-grade level. 75% of Americans who receive food stamps perform at the lowest two levels of literacy. 43% of adults with the lowest literacy skills live in poverty. 3 out of 4 food stamp recipients perform at the lowest two levels of literacy. DOE is a complete and utter failure by any measure except spending increasing amounts of money to get the above results. DOE fosters the the road to dependency as outlined in item 10. So now anyone, try to justify the existence of the Department of Education. mspart
