  1. I have seen this. I saw a match at US Nats where this happened in the final. This was 2000 I'm pretty sure. Then the OTTs that I saw later had the same scenario. Previous WT member was not our Olympian that year. mspart
  2. I agree with the above assertion that Cunningham is the mad scientist in the room. I think if they want 3 point TD, they need to adjust the TF and MD point spreads to compensate. mspart
  3. Too bad. I guess we are all disappointed. Mostly him. I'm sure he is embarrassed. mspart
  4. Where can we see the live brackets for the US Open? Track? Flo? mspart
  5. How do you know? mspart
  6. Mark Schultz started wrestling as a Junior in HS. Won CA state his senior year. 3 Time NCAA champ. Oly champ and 2 time World Champ. mspart
  7. Trip, I don't see that category as a qualifier in the GR WTTs. I think that is for OTTs. It is last year's medallist is in final x. Otherwise, WTT qualifiers are as below. Based on what I see here, I think he will have to be top 7 at the US Open. I am probably wrong, but I don't see any world champion in the past as a qualification here. https://www.teamusa.org/USA-Wrestling/Features/2023/April/21/Updated-WTT-qualifiers-as-of-April-21 130 kg 2021 Senior GR World Team member - Cohlton Schultz (Sunkist Kids) 2022 Senior GR National Team member No. 2 – Tanner Farmer (New York AC) 2022 Senior GR National Team member No. 3 – David Tate Orndorff (TMWC/Ohio RTC) 2022 U20 World GR medalist – Aden Attao (Suples WC) 2022 Bill Farrell International GR highest U.S. medalist – Donny Longendyke (Minnesota Storm) 2023 Senior Pan American Championships GR medalist - 2023 U.S. Open GR champion - 2023 U.S. Open GR runner-up - 2023 U.S. Open GR third place - 2023 U.S. Open GR fourth place - 2023 U.S. Open GR fifth place - 2023 U.S. Open GR sixth place - 2023 U.S. Open GR seventh place - 2023 U.S. Open FS top 7 placewinner** - Non-World Championship weights 2023 NCAA Div. 8. Plasi, You really should read the articles I posted above. They answer all your questions. mspart
  9. They thought the dismissal of Bill O'Reilly would sink Fox. It didn't. I'm guessing they will find some other guy to fill those shoes and it won't sink. mspart
  10. Hey, I have one of those Oregon State Wrestling shirts!! My brother in law that lives in Corvallis sent it as a Christmas present to me. I wear it proudly. Even though I don't much like Oregon for much else. It is the birthplace of my wife so I like it for that. Good beaches and beach towns, I like it for that. And the only PNW university with wrestling, I like it for that!! mspart
  11. Well, I remember HS was only 3 seasons, 10-12. But then I read about Lincoln McIlravy winning 5 HS titles. I've always wondered about that. A true demon in 8th grade. mspart
  12. Rulon will need to have a gas tank to go through all the matches he will have to go through. I think it would be fantastic if he qualifies for WTTs. mspart
  13. I posted this earlier in case you didn't see it Plasi. mspart
  14. As noted above, stuff is happening with lawyers and prosecutors. And you are making the following point: mspart
  15. That is a good point Voice. I can see that point of view perfectly. I guess we'll see how well it is founded. mspart
  16. I think the fact they seeded Rulon 6th is huge. That is a lot of respect for a 51 year old. It will be fun to see how he handles the young'ins. Or not. mspart

    Wow

Oh yeah, no doubt. But the whole process should be impressive to him, at least I hope so. Just to know this is really serious and that there are serious consequences to aberrant behavior should be something that will make a positive impression. Let's hope so. mspart

    Wow

Being charged with assault is pretty serious. Hopefully this is impressive to him and he can learn to curb his innermost base desires. Everyone wants to punch their opponent at some time or other. But very few have no inhibitions and actually do it. He got schooled, was embarrassed perhaps, and lashed out. Wrong move and I hope he gets that figured out. mspart
  19. Yeah, I guess so. But my question still remains. mspart
  20. Mike, I have to say that sounds kind of like a job no one would want!!! mspart
