He was planning to go to Little Rock, but decided to pivot plans and will be joining the military.4 points

Yes baseless ad hominin attacks are the key to success for the left. Now if you could just get CNN and MSNBC to buy into that strategy I think you'll be golden.3 points

Coach Ruschell was working for the last few years to have a huge team this year. They went after a lot of kids, but focused on bringing guys back to Tennessee. Had things gone to plan I think the lineup would've been something like 125- Cooper Flynn 133 - Blake Boarman (Purdue) 141 - Hunter Mason 149 - Isiah Powe (Iowa Central) 157 - Landon Desselle (Ohio St) 165 - Cody Chittum (MIA) 174 - Mason Reiniche 184 - Kamdyn Munroe 197 - Logan Webster 285 - Carter Neves I doubt they contacted Flynn, Mason, Chittum or Reiniche until they had announced they were leaving. Nor have I ever heard they had. Likewise, I doubt once Desselle got to Ohio St they recruited him any further but they did recruit him pretty heavily out of high school. I think the plan all along was for this to be the squad this year. Which would've been nuts. Absolutely nuts. Don't get me wrong, the team they will have this upcoming year will be the best they've had in YEARS. But there will still be a "what could've been"...3 points

I was in the SOCON from 2013-2017, and I attest to this. The program lost it's edge when Eslinger left for the FCA job.3 points

I am 100% certain that Draegen Orine will not be wrestling this season and will be joining the military. Will he wrestle again at a later date, with today's relaxed eligibility rules? I can't speak on that.2 points

You're an idiot if you think there is a big enough chunk of people that are going to vote for the 'most angry, extremist, vindictive person available to make any kind of splash. The vast majority of Americans are tired of that game.2 points

Not sure if I saw him in there but Ferrari from Iowa would obviously be a guy with huge immediate impact as well.2 points

Should see Kyler Larkin in at ASU as well. Would think he would be an immediate impact guy. He is coming off a greyshirt as well. Those two in the lineup will make ASU better right away.2 points

Saying he is going to bomb the plane isn't "some stuff". That's some "no fly list" stuff. Let me guess, if you were on the plane you would have just sat there and waited to find out? What a badass you pretend to be. You are so dismissive of anything that doesn't fit your narrative just because a "winger" posted the video. I mean I shouldn't be shocked, coming from someone who openly supports terrorists.2 points

I knew about the Khanievs but I thought they were Ingush. I forgot about Baitukaev he also wrestles at 70kg so it would be interesting seeing him wrestle against Eltemirov. I need to have a look at Ozdamirov and Ktsoev by the sounds of things. It's crazy the amount of talent being churned out from the Caucasus and to think the US and Iran are also producing guys that can match them is crazy. I wish wrestling had more mainstream appeal because we are truly doing a disservice to these athletes by only have 6 weight classes at the olympics and 1 rep per country.2 points

You stated it was because we have to many guns. The areas with the most guns are the safest. I gave you an example of a country where everyone has a gun and you agree they don't have a gun problem. I'm sure they don't allow their country to fill up with lawless criminal immigrants and give no cash bail to violent offenders and create sanctuary cities. You over simplistic views fall apart faster than a house of cards with very minimal analysis.2 points

I'm not actually that surprised when actually thinking about it. As good as the height of the athlete's in the 2008 bracket was, Lance Palmer was the only wrestler to achieve AA status 4 times. Schlatter and Caldwell missing their senior year tournaments due to injury, and Metcalf losing a year because of the transfer rule leaves a lot of points on the table. Brent Metcalf lost a year due to his transfer. Bubba Jenkins DNP both his FR year and JR year (following his runner-up finish as a SO) Burroughs went as a TR FR and went 1-2 at NCAAs Churella lost in R12 his SO year Caldwell was "only" a 2-time AA after failing to podium his FR year and withdrawing after one match his senior NCAAs J.P. O'Connor DNP his junior year Schlatter was hurt and didn't have a senior year tournament1 point

I am wrestling between recency bias and the bias of the time period from when I was in my own prime Ultimately, 2022 was an easy choice for the overall best eight.1 point

A) I don’t have TikTok, but that’s a funny comment coming from you. 2) I don’t go to Reddit, so it wasn’t that. One of the places I saw reports was BBC I believe, another was a texas news site local to the prison III) I was on my computer at work, I’m no longer at work, therefore I don’t have my web history from that timeframe available at the moment.1 point

90% of your practice is dry fire. The greatest skill to master is sight alignment on the draw. That is best done with an empty gun and a boring amount of reps. I shoot 1000s of rounds a year and would shoot more if the cost of ammo wasn't so damn high. Unless you're shooting on a Ipsc or uspsa type course shooting on an lane does very little. Most ranges don't allow rapid fire, or drawing from a holster.1 point

I do agree that people don't respect firearms enough and are not trained enough. But Most criminals are not looking for a shootout and the victims possession is the deterrence. If its a violent attack I think you'd rather at least get off a miss than watch someone put a gun or knife to you and be persecuted. If it's a known 'fear of death situation' would you want to be defenseless, maybe in your own home? I do also agree that their are people that should NOT be allowed to have a gun. There are restrictions and rulings that need to be enforced. But everyone who does comply the laws with safety and usage protocol and qualified should have the option to own a gun. That said there is a need for age limits, drug use screening ( I think depression and mental heath meds restrictions, and phsychiatric disqualifications, should be in place and enforced) that exist and that need better management.1 point

I have a 1.4 second draw to first shot on a 2/3 ISPC target from concealment with a hight hit percentage. I can shoot accurate 10 yard hits on that same size target with .2 second splits. Most shooting proficiency can be acquired at home without live ammo. We need to bring gun safety back to schools.1 point

You just answered your own question. Most people don't go to the range to fire off rounds to become proficient enough with their weapon to use in a situation where it's needed. She spent over a month learning on a daily basis for work, and has a yearly qualification to meet. Most people aren't going to be trained to shoot like that, but they also don't go to the range often enough to be proficient, and their gun becomes more of a liability than anything. People drastically underestimate guns and overestimate their own abilities to handle one safely.1 point

Too much sun. There seems to be more than correlation. Probably causation to the "no plants on Venus" scientific dilemma. And don't even talk about Mercury. NO CO2 and NO PLANTS!! But there seems to be this sun thingy going on . . . Is there a scientist in the house? Mars. Nearly all CO2, No plants. Very cold. No cows farting probably because they can't eat plants. Really needs some greenhouse gases. Can anyone think of any that might help the situation? Science is hard. Let's just make some mandates and that will solve everything!1 point

Ill ask again - what liberal show got canceled because of 'cancel culture'? unsurprisingly, you are unwilling to accept the reality that they had terrible ratings and lost money. and unsurprisingly, you're unwilling to accept that the reason for that is that your political lunacy is not as popular as you want it to be, and less people slurp the msm lies than you would like.1 point

"A lot of people I know are thinking about where are they going to get citizenship?" Silverman said. "I did get Italian citizenship," Kimmel replied. "You do? Oh, that’s amazing," Silverman reacted. "I do have that. And what’s going on is—as bad as you thought it was going to be — it’s so much worse. It’s just unbelievable," Kimmel said. It's bad ... I hope rv et al can find citizenship some place.1 point

Schifty “A career intelligence officer who worked for Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee for more than a decade repeatedly warned the FBI beginning in 2017 that then-Rep. Adam Schiff had approved leaking classified information to smear then-President Donald Trump over the now-debunked Russiagate scandal, according to bombshell FBI memos that Director Kash Patel has turned over to Congress… In his most recent interview with the bureau in 2023, the whistleblower, whose name is redacted, told agents from the FBI's St. Louis office that he personally attended a meeting at which Schiff authorized leaking classified information.“ https://justthenews.com/government/congress/exclusive-democrat-whistleblower-told-fbi-schiff-approved-leaking-classified1 point
