  7. Curious if anyone has any upset predictions? Mine is Hipolito over P Johnson. It’s a homer pick but Hip is a raw talent and has the tools to get an upset or two. The dude’s ceiling is really high just needs more mat time vs BJJ

  9. When was the last time you heard about the SS lockbox? Not dumb. It was never intended to be part of the normal budgeting process until someone decided to raid all the funds in the SS "lockbox". Now the lock box is full of IOUs. That's it. mspart

  10. UBs franco utopia! https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-64216269 France's health system under pressure of increasing demands The UK's health system is buckling under the weight of staff shortages and a lack of beds. In France, meanwhile, there are more doctors and many more nurses, yet its healthcare system is still in crisis. President Emmanuel Macron has promised to change the way its hospitals are funded, and to free doctors from time-consuming administration, in a bid to break what he called a "sense of endless crisis" in its health service. mspart

  11. Yup. The wheels are off and the bus is in the ditch. His dad posts all the time on the VT board according to my buddy. In preseason, he said the only person who could beat him in the country at 184 is himself. Well he is 4-0 against himself. That didn’t age well.

  12. And here is UBs unadulterated stance. 1. Palestinians didn't start this war on Oct 7, 2023. Nope, it wasn't them. 2. The killing of the CEO is not murder per se, it is part of a larger political conflict and certainly necessary. mspart

  15. Lazy? a guy gets killed in the streets of NY. I see the problem in that a MURDER occurred. I don't THINK it is wrong. I KNOW it is wrong. But some people think: "A guy got killed in the streets! we need to fix our insurance industry!" Victim blaming at its worst. His company actively murdered people? Like went to their house and killed them? Or did they die of something else? Crazy. Crazy. Crazy.

  29. my predictions 1&2) FCA/Sem in some order - having bigs at IM/Powerade/ETR/Doc B is huge. FCA's bigs will score monster points along with 113/120/126. i think their tourney hinges on 138-157 - Sem is missing Bouzakis and has major question marks at a lot of weights. i think they deserve their ranking, however it is one of the weaker preseason #1 teams i can remember. 3rd - Lake Highland - with a perfect storm, it wouldn't even be that shocking if they won it. - from 138 up, everyone is ranked except for Miguel Rojas (who was at Sem last year). 4) McCort - there's truly a path for them to win this. you could make a case that they have the most locks to podium. 5) Stillwater - i don't see a way they can win it, but i could see them from 3rd to 5th.

  31. Not specific to Democrates. Yes more than half (way more) the population do not believe in science. Sure many believe th science they want to believe in but they don't believe in specific scientific research or in general. Couple examples related to covid. There was a very well done controlled statistical study on marks. Dont remember exact location (that doesn't matter) let's just say Africa. One group mask pretty sure n95 the other no mask. They had to wear them correctly. Study found mask had pretty much little to no effect. They were statitically different than no mask but made no meaningful difference. Second wZ the good research did Dr. Jay Bhattacharya did out of Stanford. He is trained in economics and medical research. Did very good work on thing like effectiveness & economics of lockdowns. Actually conducting statistical sampling studies of covid approaches etc. Pretty much ignore because it didn't fit the politics just like the mask study. University of Illinois also did some good research on effectiveness of different types of mask. Ignored - no one cared whether it was effective you just needed to be seen with a mask even if you were only wearing it over your chin.

  36. Correct. There's a 0% chance a guy who goes to Penn State, made the finals last year and lost in the second to a guy who he previously beaten, wins a title this year. Absolutely no chance.

  38. 1. Trump wanted Ukraine to investigate Joe and Hunter for stuff related to Burisma. 2. Trump was impeached for doing this. 3. Joe pardoned Hunter who was on the board of directors of Burisma. 4. The date of the pardon goes back to before Hunter was associated with Burisma. 5. Trump was impeached for trying to get Ukraine to investigate Joe and Hunters' relationship with Burisma. Also interesting at roughly the same time the laptop swirled around and it was called Russian disinformation. Apparently it was not, and is not able to be used to prosecute Hunter, although it could still be used against others. It appears Trump was on to something that Biden and the swamp didn't want out. Now we all know and most shrug at the corruption of the Bidens. mspart

  39. No he was impeached because thats what the Democrats alleged he did. Transcript of the call doesn't show that. Impeachment doesn't require facts, only a majority who are willing to claim they believe such.

  41. “A recently reprinted memoir by Frederick Douglass has footnotes explaining what words like "arraigned," "curried" and "exculpate" meant, and explaining who Job was. In other words, this man who was born a slave and never went to school educated himself to the point where his words now have to be explained to today's expensively under-educated generation.” Thomas Sowell This is evidence that the department of education is a complete failure.

  42. So you are refuting using anecdotal evidence? Inadmissible. Just a little research shows me no evidence of recent federal government lay offs. Which ones should have been laid off? Probably none and I can find none. A good number should have been fired outright for making up policies and saying they were based in science. Fired for lying to the American public. Fired for getting media companies to censor and lie about it. Just about everything they censored and caused to be censored is now clearly known as truth. mspart
