I know they said Ech to 149, why would he go 149 at OSU and not 141? They wanted Fugitt at 141 why not ech?

I do feel obligated to say Ohio State did add Kade Brown at 149 already…for what that’s worth. Not sure if he could slide down to 141 while his brother takes a RS or what…fits both guys better if it happens that way?

I think we can probably all agree that nothing in life is guaranteed but death, but maybe that needs to be said. I think we can all agree that money can change anything. Again, probably something not needing mention. That said, as I told you yesterday, the ball is Michigan court right now. If they pony up and match there isn’t even a discussion. This move is 100% financial.

That would be idiotic to pony up that much money for Zepeda. He hasn’t done a thing in college yet. He might, but hasn’t yet.
Coming off acl surgery too.

I don’t see cam as a 65.

Brett Unger is ok I guess nothing to get excited about unless you have a L sitting in that spot every time out

No need to downplay great wrestlers. Ungar made the round of 16 all years he wrestled in the postseason, and made the round of 12 one year. Most teams would be greatly upgraded with him on the starting lineup.

The numbers are pretty obscene.

So Paddy's last competition in 23-24 was the 11th on the schedule out of 19 days not including post season, so he was into the second semester by this definition. Does a tournament like CKLV count as two dates or one contest?  A little different scenario, but when wrestlers are not eligible for 1st semester, they are allowed to wrestle after their academic 1st semester ends, not after the mid-point of the season based on dates.

Teams are allowed 16 competition dates plus a qualifier. CKLV counts as one date, as do triangular/quads that are on a single day. Paddy wrestled eight dates.

Tournaments should count as a single date since they are the same competition.

As @Dogbone said, that's because that is an academic issue.

while i am very surprised to see paddy enter the transfer portal - he came off like he bled scarlet and gray - seeing him go somewhere new is probably a good thing for him. wasn't the dude the number one recruit in his high school class? only having an 8th place finish in his career seems very underwhelming.

You aren't giving him enough credit.

He definitely was a Buckeye through and through and much like Bouzakis might have to do he felt he had to make a decision for a different opportunity. I don’t like it or he felt a certain way but I wish him nothing but the best. He was the number one recruit and he was plagued by injuries of varying severity throughout his time.

Guess we will see…I already see the responses. Sure he went to Michigan but it was never a done deal. All good man. None of you have bothered to try to even know how or why I might be saying what I’m saying. How I could speak with such conviction on the subject. If you did, you’d understand why all these responses are nonsense. You don’t say me speaking about ANY other wrestler and where they are going let alone with conviction. Ever asked yourself why? Probably not. Like I told you, guess we will see. And yeah, take a pause….

Your demeanor in how you addressed every person who approached the topic in this thread left out any room for decorum, and now that there are small holes being poked in your air tight case you are acting like a victim and going in on how it’s on the rest of us for not better gauging why you are acting this way or treating other posters like they are dumb for not already knowing the thing you know to be factual. And then it comes out that it’s not, in fact, factual.

And then you make assumptions that I don’t read the info from posters and consider the source or context or how/why people choose to speak or care, which is incorrect. You chose to hide behind a cloak with your ominous and mysterious knowledge and connection and shared literally no reason as to why you were certain that this was a done deal.

But, yeah, definitely on everybody else for not understanding you and your quirks, or whatever. Pause.

He beats Lemley imo. I could see him beating cam as well

Zepeda is coming off injury, so maybe he sits a year and they try to work it out that way. I think all healthy, Zepeda over Lemley more often than not. It seems to me Lemley would be the odd man out in a situation in which Zepeda comes in.

Mendoza is 133 for a year then 141

Wolbert 141 for a year or RS then 149/157

Zepeda sit 1, 149

Lemley 149 this year, fight for a spot after

Catrabone 157 for as long as he can hold it, probably one more year, then maybe 165…he just doesn’t look that big at 157 yet.

This does not take into account Gilcher (165), Gates (165), Haakon Peterson (165), Eren Sement (141), Blake Cosby (157), Cooper Hilton (149), Bodie Abbey (141/149), Cooper Hinz (133), amongst a few more. And not all of these guys will be starter-level quality at the same time, but there’s a ton of options at these 4 or so weights

Any other coaching you’d like to offer? I’m all ears. Tell me more about how you expect me to respond. 🤣 God forbid somebody actually knows something and they try to share it on this board. Might get in the way of whatever rumor some of you wanna believe. You don’t need to respond anymore. I am done with the subject and said what I wanted to say. I mean, you can respond I guess. But you’ll just be talking to you and your echo chamber. Kinda feels like that’s y’all’s jam anyway😂

Then it’s dumb to pay any recruit ever because they haven’t “done anything”

Agreed. Make them earn it.
