I believe so, RS in '22'

So is Paddy banking on getting a med year for 2024? He wrestled a lot of matches that year and wrestled in January. Otherwise he competed 4 years and had a redshirt.

How and why might you be saying the things you are saying?

Has to be ...

There are a few guys banking on med shirts this year. Will be interesting how that all pans out. If you haven't been granted one yet, it's kinda hard for a wrestler and a team to move forward.

Paddy wrestled on 01/04 the year he got hurt. I would be surprised if he got a medical for that year since he wrestled the 2 semester.

He shouldn’t though. Everyone is getting medical like it’s free candy.

Respectfully, I hope the NCAA tightens up on these eligibility rules. People are definitely abusing it.

I don’t think Konner D. and Paddy G. Should get a medical.

Rutgers is about to land a solid pick up!

Ungar? I know he visited and they could use a 133.

Guess we will see…I already see the responses. Sure he went to Michigan but it was never a done deal. All good man. None of you have bothered to try to even know how or why I might be saying what I’m saying. How I could speak with such conviction on the subject. If you did, you’d understand why all these responses are nonsense. You don’t say me speaking about ANY other wrestler and where they are going let alone with conviction. Ever asked yourself why? Probably not. Like I told you, guess we will see. And yeah, take a pause….

Lol you are something else. You've already admitted you were wrong to be so definitive.  Just take the L and move on.

Ok taking the L. Will this help you move on? Just trying to figure what exactly you need to hear. Would it be better if I said you were “right”?  Nevermind, don’t answer that. You know better than me for sure. So you win. I made the whole thing up.

What is actually considered 2nd semester by the NCAA?  Is it the day after finals for the school you are representing? I  saw second semester guys wrestling official duals in December, which was after their finals but way before the start of their second semester classes.

It's not 1st or 2nd semester. It's 1st or 2nd half of the scheduled dates/competitions.

C. The injury or illness must have occurred prior to the beginning of the contest or date of competition that begins the second half of the playing season in that sport as measured by the number of completed contests or dates of competition in that sport, excluding postconference competition.

So is the number of completed contests  based on that team's schedule or the whole NCAA schedule? If it's a team's schedule then that skews everything  and makes the date different for every team.

So Paddy's last competition in 23-24 was the 11th on the schedule out of 19 days not including post season, so he was into the second semester by this definition. Does a tournament like CKLV count as two dates or one contest?  A little different scenario, but when wrestlers are not eligible for 1st semester, they are allowed to wrestle after their academic 1st semester ends, not after the mid-point of the season based on dates.

Yes, I believe they have to be done with 1st Semester academically.   So they can compete in December if they have completed the semester/finals and grades are submitted.

To be clear, my answer above was to edibility rules with regard to guys who have to sit out the 1st semester, but to the medical redshirt rule that could be a different standard all together.

Sorry, I missed the Paddy discussion and only saw the first question.

So Ech back to the Buckeyes and Stiles up to 157?

I know they said Ech to 149, why would he go 149 at OSU and not 141? They wanted Fugitt at 141 why not ech?

Because he hasn’t seen 141 since his 20’s…
