Disappointing? I love a wrestler that stays loyal with a coaches change!

He’s grossly underachieved at Wisconsin and the only glimmer of hope for him left to do roofs. I would have liked to see him go to Michigan and AA or go home to West Virginia where the entire state still roots for him and fill the only real hole in their lineup.

I always kinda hoped he had ended up at WV, but just thinking out loud here - maybe he likes the progress he has had since Cassioppi joined that staff.

In fairness to JR, he left to do sales for a company that does roofs...🤷‍♂️

He was one match away from AA this year, he has gone thru a ton at Madison, Freshmen year (mom was sick) then battling shoulder injury the last two years, healthy this year and was a match away from AA.

I expect him to be on the podium next season.

No shame in him sticking around, he will leave with a degree from a world class university, and maybe just maybe AA/National Champ next season.

I mean this will be his 7th year at Wisconsin and their best coach just left so I don’t share the same optimism that he’s finally going to break through now all of sudden. He was a number 2 overall recruit and sure thing going into college

I feel that they got him too big, which hurt his mobility and gas tank.  He should come back next year around 250.

Yes, he got way too big in a short amount of time. 240-250 with more agility and Amos Can win the whole damn thing. He does seem to have a bit of a mental block in closing matches out.

That would be awesome. What a squad they would have plus a fantastic education.

And ACC much more survivable schedule than Big 10.

He wants to be a national champion, not "survive" the season. Maybe moving up to 141 would suit him better and a place that knows how to keep guys healthy, at least as best possible, for the post season.  I think Iowa would be out of contention based on that.

He can indeed stay big, as many people do,  if he wants to. Just making an observation that I think he is a contender if he's quicker and more agile.
