    I think his toe was in when he initiated the chest wrap although there was another stutter step in there. Very close. But how the hell does Trent get put on the clock when he initiated all the action and the Russian literally didn’t take an attack? It wasn’t like Trent wasn’t battling for center.

    Dake wins a perfectly displayed Dake match. Gets his TD and then you have to do the same. Shuts him down! What a day.

    I know we like to bitch and complain on these boards but can we give a shout out to just how well these world championships are produced. Lalovic has done a great job cleaning it up and bringing some respect back to the sport. The review refs have been fair and unbiased in all of their calls especially the one dude. The video playing of the champ while his anthem is being played. I’m impressed. And the Kazakhs have come out in force. Hats off. Now let’s get 10 weights back to the Olympics!

    I know it was really nice. He sets it up very well and he’s obviously strong to pull that in. I was yelling up, up, up just like his coaches and then I’m like, ok no stay down haha.

    Spencer said on Flo interview that he was fine after Lilledahl match. I thought he looked great today. Fast and crisp in his attacks. He just gave up a really well timed double and then that dude did a great job pouncing to the trap arm. RBY makes me nervous. He’s wrestling very well.

    I understand and agree. I should have clarified. I’m thinking as a former high school coach who needed some of my guys, who didn’t know much about wrestling, to be able to go out and battle through a match. First step in getting good is learning how to not get pinned by a really good guy.

    Amazing how she was able to completely control and dominate that match with taking a single shot. Ugly style but man was it effective. Lots of young wrestlers should watch her to learn that you have to develop a style that works for you and your body. That Japanese girl she shut out is good and had just beaten the defending world champ. Hats off the Leydecker. Super impressive performance and that’s super cool if that really was her old man in her corner.

    Yoshida and Snyder are 1-1 so that wasn’t the final earlier. He’s legit. I just watched the Tevanyan semi in its entirety and he didn’t get very tired but they didn’t do much early and he got a timely break in the second period. He’s a tough match up for Bo. Doesn’t take a lot of risk and stays in very good position and super tough to get to his legs. Can Bo melt him? I think he can. USA USA USA

    Watch the Tevanyan vs Mamedov semi and please explain to me how in the hell they put the Russian/Bulgarian back on the clock? I watch this sport an awful lot and it’s nuts I still can’t even figure out the rules.

    Btw Amouzad kinda screwed although I have seen similar calls. Up 1 with 4 secs left they bang him with a caution and 1 for not engaging.

    Yoshida Taz semi opposite Snyder. That’s a good match. Taz has looked pretty good.

    And my god what a warrior Snyder is. He’s taken some tough losses to Sadulaev but to keep grinding and to pull that match out. So much respect for that dude! Keep it rolling.

    Have you asked James Green? How can this be true when there are only 6 Olympic weights as opposed to 10 for worlds? If the numbers were equal I’d agree and get it. But when you combine 2 weights (61 & 65) into 1 for example it gets considerably more difficult at those weights…no?

    Agreed just afraid he doesn’t have enough offense himself. He’s a master at his go behinds but rarely do I see him shoot and score and you need to have that ability if you are losing.

    Just watched Blaze vs Desanto. Blaze won 5-0. I don’t think Desanto took a single shot in the match. Even when down 5-0 with 2 minutes left. I don’t get it.
