Endene for sure.

Williams perhaps (though maybe not)

I think Nick Fine from Columbia will have exhausted his Ivy eligibility after this year, but will have another year of NCAA eligibility.  2X NCAA qualifier should find a home.  If there is any room down in Blacksburg, I think Tanelli (who was the one that recruited him to Columbia) could be on the phone

VT could have some room at 184 but it would have to be a clear upgrade over Bullock who is wrestling really good right now. Not sure Fine is an upgrade. I would think VT pursues Jaxon Smith if he portals but that's probably the only guy at 184 they'd recruit over Bullock

Are there rumors of Smith hitting the portal or are you just speculating ?

Would be a huge loss for the Terps.

Any time someone redshirts early season, you gotta wonder.

I have the same suspicions of Norman and Garvin at Stanford.

Again, none of that is fact based just my opinion.

Does CBU get any kind of special treatment in finding a new team because of what happened. Wrestlers and what about coaches?

not sure about special treatment.  my best reference is the most recent case of Cleveland State that shut their program down.  Almost all of their wrestlers found new homes.  And their head coach would become Kent State's head coach.  I wonder if that was made easier by being within the same state university system?  Or whether that would even matter.

I think anyone from CBU who wants to continue wrestling will enter the portal and see if they can find a good match.  We could probably add their entire roster to this list (other than those who have exhausted eligibility).  But they are not in a state college system so the individual transfers may face more friction in terms of credits transferring and such.

I thought there was special rules in place if a coach leaves or a program shuts down?? Like the window reopens or opens at different time than normal to allow the effected athletes to transfer?? I’m sure it’s somewhere in the NCAAs portal rules, I know it’s there for a coach leaving, I would hope they’d address a program shutting down too.

I would expect Clayton Whiting to hit the portal, unless Max McEnelly moves up to 197 as Gavin Nelson had a rough end to the season. The Gophers lineup would probably be better with Whiting at 184 as he had success at 184 at Missouri.

Max should absolutely under no circumstances bump up. He’s perfect at 184.

Max shouldn't and in an interview today confirmed he will stay at 184

The Crookham move makes sense to me for the team and for Crookham himself.

He's a grad transfer so he can get his masters at another school which is always a good thing on the resume and pocket some cash........someone will throw a lot at him hoping his health can return and stay.......

Lehigh is looking at a lineup next year of Ziegler, Lopes, Stanich at the first three weights (if Stanich stays 141 and doeesn't go 149 which is a possibility I would guess).......and Dillard will be pushing for a spot if Stanich moves up........Hard for Lehigh as a smaller private school to just hold Crookham's spot "hoping" he can get and stay healthy.......

Wishing him only the best, Ryan is a good dude as well and whatever school gets him is lucky to have him as a person as well as a wrestler (when and if healthy)......

Are the Cal Baptist kids that have already publicly declared they are going into the portal, or just speculating they will because they dropped? I imagine Murillo, Kelly and Morton will find homes along with a few freshman that just came in this past season.

It would be his 2nd Masters. From what I understand, he is completing a five-year BS/MS program in four years.
