I literally thought of this yesterday for no reason at all.   How on earth can one get one male and one female of every species on a boat…. And none of them die.  And all of them reproduce.    Forget the fact that we “think” having babies with your family is weird but….

so an elephant never accidentally stepped on one of the ants in one year and 10 days?

Wow...I'm impressed.

The biblical account says the animals came to Noah.   (Gen 7:6)  So if God can make that happen, he can make them behave themselves in the ark.   But it is an interesting question for sure.

Interestingly, a book by the last king of Hawaii, David Kalakaua, recounted the history of the world Hawaiian style.   In there, there is a first man and woman.   There is a flood with a guy named Noe.   There is after the flood, and then it leaves the biblical account and goes off to stuff more pertinent to the Polynesians.   I thought it was interesting.

There are multiple biblical era accounts of a large flood. Mesopotamia, Hindu, Greek, China, Aztec/Inca, Egypt, Norse, Polynesia, Aboriginal

That's because large floods happen pretty much everywhere (but within certain types of locations) where people live. And there are many accounts for non biblical era floods too.

A lot more likely that there simply wasn't a "worldwide flood." With some of the elevations and long/steep slopes we have all over the world, it's pretty much impossible for entire world to flood. World wouid have had to be extremely flat all over, which it wasn't.

You mean real science or science you want to believe.

Real science: geology, chemistry, physics and meteorology primarily.

The Bible is not science.

Well how about the discovery of the Ark?

I've read the ark was discovered, multiple arks discovered, and no evidence of any arks discovered.  Who knows?

It is science that ocean life from the past is strangely found in elevated mountains.  And boulders have been moved significant distances and elevations perhaps answered from great floods.  Another reason is plate tectonics and glaciers...

My wife as a kid would go hunting with her whole family to her great grandparents ranch in Spray, Oregon.   It was hundreds of acres.   While the adults hunted the kids played.   They would go to a place they called the Badlands.   This is mountainous territory in Spray, roughly 2000 ft elevation.   They would find shell fossils there all the time.

AI overview says,

Seashell fossils, particularly those of ammonites, are found at the summit of Mount Everest, approximately 8,848 meters (29,032 feet) above sea level. These 66 million-year-old marine fossils are embedded in limestone, having been pushed from the ancient Tethys Sea floor to the mountain's peak by the collision of tectonic plates.

So there is some evidence of high places being low at one time.

Yes, but 400 million years ago. Other places were higher than they currently are.

I think Noah's ark was supposedly more recent, by just a teeny bit.

So you have an understanding of zero point energy, or the red shift?

I watched a documentary about 10 years ago of claims Noahs Arc had been found at Mount Ararat, Turkey. Took my Mom to see the onstage Noahs Arc play at Sight and Sound Theater here in central PA multiple times over the years.

I’m an amateur rock and fossil hound and this part of geology always fascinated me. The random giant boulders along the Appalachian Trail are there most likely due to glacial movement. Vivid memories as a kid using my Dads hammer to chip away for fossilized seashells in the Catskills Mountains upstate New York. I still have those pieces in my collection.
