Actually you’re right, I think I was forgetting Forrest when I posted that.  I’d probably still say at least 25% for Blaze though.

I think he’s most of it + the chance of something crazy happening

Probably like 10% each for Ruiz/Kharchla/Minto/everyone else IMO.    Of course he has lost to Facundo in FS.

I’d say Elam 25% and 10% for the rest of the field.  Rademacher would probably be my top contender after Elam.

Kharchla has pushed haines hard previously.

Messenbrink and Lockett are polar opposites on how they approach a 7 minute match

Bonus points for MM would not be a surprise although I don't think Lockett gets by Caliendo if they meet again.

In years past you would say Penn state has 3-5 locks for champs in their lineup. This year you'd say only 1 with Mitch, maybe you could say 2 with Bar. If you were a betting man you would take the field in every weight except 165. Ncaas could be interesting!

im a nebraska fan.

it sounds like you are saying the huskers suck

they just got piss pounded by a team with only one champ on it.

Piss pounded?? I wouldnt say that. Maybe you were watching something different

ok maybe not

but i dont know what you call winning 3 matches, where two were 2-1 tiebreakers and another a sort of lucky pin...

while the losses were mostly bonus point losses

and a few that weren't were a late TD

i still believe in the huskers. it's still early.

but to say the dual was close... no

but you say PSU has only ONE sure fire national champ?

lol

Agree.

I’d go something like:

Mesenbrink 90%

Barr 65%

Haines 60%

SVN 55%

Lilledahl 50%

Blaze 40%

Duke 35%

Welsh 25%

Mirasola 4%

Davis 1%

Davis -1%

Lilledahl, SVN, Messenbrink, and Haines are for sure bringing home trophies.

Barr, Duke, Blaze, and Welsh in that order of likelihood to also bring home a trophy. Barr's only competition is the annual bracket buster and Elam. The others have a stout bracket in front of them.

I'm not saying it will happen, but this team has a real chance to set the team scoring record and the individual champions record. 4 champions and 9AA's is a realistic expectation for this squad with a good chance for higher in each category. So the sooner Taylor can chip away by starting the blue chips then better.

125 is pretty stacked. I can think of at least 4 guys who could beat Luke at NCAAs, including the defending champ.

I see Barr as more of a likely champ than LL. I think LL is the favorite but Barr is a decent size favorite.

Favorites: Mesenbrink, Barr, Haines, SVN

Solid shot at a title: Lilledahl, Welsh, Blaze, Duke

This is an impressive team. I hadn’t seen much of Welsh before this season and he’s looking super tough. Haines is the reigning world silver medalist—I don’t think anyone takes him out.

I am higher than LL than most. He is the present in folk and the near-future in free. So I realized I might as well embrace him now and get it over with.

Everyone immediately recognized the Cubs winning the world series in 2016 was the first seal to opening the gates of hell, but didn't realize the final seal was Carl getting an elite 125/57.

Haines wrestles close with Minto and

Iowa and Nebraska wrestled completely not to lose. A guy like Minto or Gabe Arnold can keep a match close with a top contender but just being 100% defensive. Arnold just did it to McEnelly.

Minto did at least get a takedown though.

Van Ness is getting taken down early & having to come back for wins.

This is going to catch up with him at The Big Dance.

Everyone is gunning for the top spot & at least one of these guys will wrestle "lights out", will get a lead & he won't be able to come back to win.

Starting while half asleep is not a good strategy.

In my opinion, Mitch, Levi, and Barr are pretty much locks to win. Levi had a close match with Minto but I see Levi winning the natty again.

Then between Luke, Blaze, SVN, PJ, and to a lesser extent Rocco, I think at least 1 of those win it all.

So I’d expect at least 4 champs from PSU.

PSU has been so dominant that guys like SVN and even Haines have gotten a little lackadaisical in certain positions.

I would bet that neither guy wins a title this year.

Minto was 100% defensive?? He got 1st TD of the match off his shot...

You PSU fans need to watch other teams wrestle.  Just because your guy doesn't get 5 TD a match like they do against their non-con schedule doesn't mean the other team is being defensive.
