In years past you would say Penn state has 3-5 locks for champs in their lineup. This year you'd say only 1 with Mitch, maybe you could say 2 with Bar. If you were a betting man you would take the field in every weight except 165. Ncaas could be interesting!

3.5?? Who are the locks??

Barr, Levi, Mitchell, SVN would all be - odds to win against the field and Blaze, Luke, PJ, Welsh can all win I think the likelihood that they get 4 out of those 8 is probably pretty good.

Agree.

I’d go something like:

Mesenbrink 90%

Barr 65%

Haines 60%

SVN 55%

Lilledahl 50%

Blaze 40%

Duke 35%

Welsh 25%

Mirasola 4%

Davis 1%

Jajensen09, please post who you have beating your non-locks?  It would be Interesting to see.

125 is loaded, 133 is loaded, Van Ness has been getting taken down by guys lower in the field let alone top tier guys, Haines wrestles close with Minto and Carson k.  184 is loaded as well.

Haines is the reigning world silver medalist. He’s going to be tough to beat.

This...it was like the Ohio State match last year. Last night Minto had everything going right...extra point, uncharacteristically frustrated Haines from the backing up charging into a shot, poor ref and he still went out and took control and won.

Haines looked liked Haines...he could get as many takedowns as he would of needed to win.

Would you place cash on any of this or just hot air? Your saying line should be 2.5 essentially vs the field?

Mintos tank will be better come March. That was the difference

I’d go something like:

Barr 65%

Haines 60%

SVN 55%

Lilledahl 50%

Blaze 40%

Duke 35%

Welsh 25%

Mirasola 4%

Davis 1%

Blaze at 40% is crazy in that loaded field.

Who is the 40 percent other than Haines? And are you giving Elam a 35 percent chance to win bc Barr already majored #3 at the weight

Actually you’re right, I think I was forgetting Forrest when I posted that.  I’d probably still say at least 25% for Blaze though.

 why is Messenbrink 90%?

surely Lockett is not the 10%

I think he’s most of it + the chance of something crazy happening

Probably like 10% each for Ruiz/Kharchla/Minto/everyone else IMO.    Of course he has lost to Facundo in FS.

I’d say Elam 25% and 10% for the rest of the field.  Rademacher would probably be my top contender after Elam.
