I like the value with Michigan to finish top five it's definitely worth putting 50 or 100 bucks on if they get a couple of the matches to go there way especially the Mantanona brothers getting to the semis they have a shot at placing top 5....McNeil could have the tournament of his life and somehow end up in the finals but he's most likely taken 3rd through 5th cat dog has a chance to fight through the back side of the bracket in the podium somewhere in the five through eight spot but doubtful and then the California Brothers definitely have a shot at placing 3-8.... and of course big Taye could win it all. If all of that happens that might be enough to secure fifth place maybe Sotelo fines what he had last year and pulls off a few upsets and ends up placing it's definitely a long shot but a couple upsets and big wins is worth putting money on +3500 A lot would have to happen.

Thought Webster looked good at the Big 10's. Certainly was not overwhelmed by Duke in the 4-2 loss.

not emotional at all... the seedings will be what they are. Some of the RPI rankings are silly. Byrd is undefeated and beat Ayala handily 7-2. Ayala is being rewarded by RPI for losses on a tough schedule. Minto at number 1 is also silly. Split with Kharchia and Facundo, lost to Haines and Kennedy. Tough schedule yes.... losing more then winning yes. Number 1 for Minto, kind of silly.

True a cradle which led to no takedown or back points due to Byrd's strength. I still wonder if the freshman will be able to deal with Byrd constant pressure and his man strength.

Byrd pinned him once and in second match got hit with a crazy 7 pt move early. After that he hammered Moore into oblivion.

Sure there is. Byrd is an undefeated returning national champion and the others are not. The lack of respect for a guy who has won 29 in a row is crazy. We will see if the different freshman can deal with constant forward pressure.

Currently this message board thinks Byrd has a 7% chance to win nationals... That would mean a fair value number would be to bet $100 on Byrd to win $1400. Obviously those odds will never happen. It's a general lack of respect for Byrd and what he has accomplished. I did miss breakfast this morning but figured it was on topic and simple math.

If odds were based on these poll results, I would easily lay money on Byrd at +1400 or so to win Nationals.
