Wrestled one match winning 4-3 then MFF out of the event and is wearing a large ice bag on his knee. Hope he is OK.

Is there a rule about taking two in a row?

Not to my knowledge, but he won’t be eligible for a MedRS since he competed during the second semester.

I understand he needs matches for RPI but given his history wrestling the Bloomsburg open seems a bit silly to me but that's much easier to say after the fact. Good win for Mason Ziegler beating Greg D.

No.

Can get two, but I think it's too late in the season now.

Willy ( @Husker_Du ) had Crookham over Blaze in the finals in his most recent Crystal Ball.

Doesn't look so good now.

No there are no rules ... well at least the NCAA doesn't enforce any rules.

Was horrified by this result until I saw (a) the margin of victory was due to a closing seconds TD and (b) Ziegler had a solid record at 125 and it's only up at 133 filling in for Crookham that his record got ugly.

Ziegler is a stud he will do well at 125 next year, Quakertown and Stellar trained kid.

He'd have to meet the requirements, which he doesn't; the injury is too late in the season.

I'm going to wait and see what happens, because so much has been written about Crookham that hasn't panned out.  A few weeks ago some of our "fans" had him in the transfer portal.  He wrestled and won twice yesterday, first by tech fall, then 4-3 in the bout in question.  He took injury time twice in the second bout, finished and won, then med forfeited out of the tournament.  If the injury was serious, why didn't he default in the second bout?  He was wrestling attached, the Lehigh staff was there.  So this could all be an abundance of caution, something was tweaked, he'll be back in a week or two.  When I hear otherwise from a reputable source, I'll believe it then.

Another Big story from Bloomsburg Open is #6 Joey Oliveri (14-0 on season) who went 4-0 but still sidelined from Rutgers line up.

Do we know why he is out ?

Before you get too excited realize he was wrestling in the b flight and wrestled in the following order:

wrestlestat #260

wrestlestat #247

wrestlestat # 111

and in finals wrestlestat # 68 (w 4-2)

Not that the A flight overall was much better but it kept him away from Stanich
