Hidlay said recently that he’s not too big for 86, and would probably go down. That was within the past couple weeks. Obv things can change.

Making it and being effective are two different things, especially three years from now. Zahid will be 31 but Hidlay will be 29 himself. And who knows what weight Brooks goes when USADA and WADA are testing him 6x/wk

I had it wrong, BTW.

Dake did it in '18 and Cox in '19.

If Hidlay wins it all this year, I'm setting alarms RIGHT NOW for OTT 2028 day 1 and 2. Those who do not learn from their 92kg world champ history are doomed to repeat it.

Zahid in his prime thru 28 probably. Snyder wayyy past his prime in 28. Hidley will go up. Most will probably bulk rather than face Zahid. I really can't believe I would say run from him to Snyder if your big enough.

Why are all the Iranians so angry at Zahid on Instagram?

Because Ghasempour wasn't supposed to lose to him.

If brooks suspension is 3 years, he will move on.

It ends prior to OTT.

Yeah not sure why he felt the need to say that. Maybe it’s because I’m from a small town but I don’t get this trash talk culture.

When I saw it I was like oh yeah the Iranians are gonna hate that

I’m aware.

But that’s three years where he can’t train at any RTC, USA club, with any coaches, or with any guys in the top 3 in the us.

Plus no competitions.

Doesn't sound like a lot of fun.

Will also likely need a real job

Or they’re bigger cheaters than we imagined …

Zahid was never a cat I believed that would or could be a World champion. He wasn't someone I looked at in college and thought, he could win a World championship. I never disliked him or thought he wasn't a quality wrestler, I just couldn't see it.

Yea but the thing is he was that good in college while not fully dedicated , I think we are now finally seeing what a truely committed Zahid is capable of

Confirmed that Zahid was an animal this weekend. And appreciate the nerd assist!

Brooks said that he and Zahid were having the toughest time making weight at 2024 trials.  Also: Can you imagine Braniac Brooks not screwing up if he was under intense testing scrutiny?

I don't believe anything Brooks says, given his proven lack of honesty. Zahid was a kilo under at 86 in 2023 according to his words out of his mouth at 2:10 and 89 kilos/195 lbs when he won WTT 92kg.  Can't believe I'm saying this but I'll trust the guy suspended for fun drugs.

... and I believe it wasn't even a WADA/USADA suspension, but an ASU internal suspension.

Who wants to tell him?

Small Towns have plenty of guys who run their mouths also. I don't see how that would factor into you liking or not liking online trash talking.
