So because there was no ESPN story, should we assume there were no “legs”?

Don't know I'm not a journalist or law enforcement officer or Carter Starocci. I'm simply an idiot on the internet.

Presumably this wrestler you can't remember was guilty of something. What if Starocci is not guilty of something (besides being a tool) what should Sanderson say then? Should he say anything? Or should he not lend credence to it?

You speak as though you know Starocci to be guilty of these things and Sanderson owes you something as a result.

There’s a zillion coach-speak phrases pre prepared for these situations.  “we’re looking into it, we don’t tolerate this kind of behavior, not our values” etc

I don’t really care, but it is odd given how often athletes get in trouble and coaches have to at least pretend to care about it.

Man, if this issue resolves relatively positively for Starocci, and both he and Beau decide to continue to wrestle, can you just imagine how colossally awkward it would be if both made a national team at the same time?? Beau might need to get a reverse chastity belt

I think saying nothing is better than saying something that is nothing.

i'd argue by cael's standards there is no nothing. A phony statement implying some sort of apology or change of policy is a giant step for a guy who treats the whole wrestling media apparatus with contempt.

How are you sure Cael doesn't want to make a statement but is advised not to by his bosses?

i think i brought this up a few pages ago and the concensus was that that time seems to have passed.

I am not sure, and if thats the case i'm sympathetic, but i don't think it is.

In Carl's defense, many of us also treat Flo, Basch, and Mineo with contempt.

None more bitterly and pathetically than myself, but I'm mad at them for being vapid boot lickers, Cael won't even let them lick his boots.

Basch may be allowed.

He actually had an episode where he interviewed Carl.  But Carl made him take it down.

Cael's standards are Mormon. A church with a major Child Abuse problem they sweep under the rug, big time. #1 priority is "protect the good name of the Institution" - and that is what is being done here.

The Starocci episode doesn't even make a ripple in this type of thinking.
