It should be very bold to call a true freshman as a national champ, but in this case, it doesn’t even seem like much of a bold pick!

Boldest part I think is that PSU starts him with a 2x 3rd placer returning.

For my preseason dark horses last year I had Barr as High AA, McGonagle Top 6 and Steed top 6 (just ignore the rest of my picks)

My bold prediction for this year, this far out, is going to be Zach Ryder National Champ at 174

With Kasak bulking up to heavyweight, SVN can go whichever weight PJ Duke doesn't.

As the person who said Dean hamiti national champ in last years iteration of this I would like to go 2 for 2 with Jordan Williams 149 national champion.

I think Jordan Williams is a bit more of a reach than Dean Hamiti.

Seems like a bold pick for Ryder to even wrestle at 174.

he is definitely more extreme but has less clear cut favorites ahead of him both entering new and improved rooms and showed glimpses of brilliance although Williams has had far fewer moments.

Pepperidge Farm remembers it wasn't that long ago that PSU fans, who always know best by the way, were shouting for Beau Bartlett and Shayne Van Ness to transfer out because they were such scrubs.

true. I would probably put Henson on par with Levi Haines, but there is no KOT in that weight class. Williams has a lot of potential and I'd love to see him reach it (would have loved it more at OSU or LR though)

Iowa wins it

They may not even beat Oklahoma State & the end of season swoon will be on full display at Nationals.

Mizzou will be much improved!   Predict Mizzou finishes in the top 10.  They will be young.  They will be much healthier than last year and,...they'll have a new assistant coach (Keegan O)!

That is bold.  Especially with the *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me*show last year.  Still think we are another year away.  Good class  coming in but let them have a year to get their feet wet.

Can Ono hold 133 for a whole season?  If he goes 141, I could see him beating Mendez but losing to Hardy.

What? 2x National Championship Jesse Mendez? Returning champion after beating Hardy…transitive property or any basis supports this

I think Brock presents more folkstyle related issues although Jesse is also a menace on top and proficient in scrambles. Sounds like Ono may be redshirting though so I don't think we get to see it.

Hardy is a much funkier, better mat wrestler than Mendez.

I could definitely see Hardy catching Ono a time or two.

That said, I believe the plan is for Ono to take a RS this year.
