That team still might lose to FCA. The non-PIAA weights might favor BMC, and the PIAA weights might favor FCA. Could also see one being better in tournaments and another being better in a dual setting.

106-120 TBD (IDK if they have any incoming Freshmen or not) Young NR and Yoder NR would be in here

126- Bachmann #4

132- Racich NR

138- Bachmann #2

144- Botero NR

150- M. Wagner NR (State third last year (beat Butler at State Duals))

157- S. Wagner NR (Really solid, has never wrestled in the postseason)

165- Weidemoyer INJ (Top 5-10 nationally when healthy)

175- N. Singer #11

190- Waters #1

215- J. Singer #12

285 Effendian #6

So I found out that Asher Bacon is going to Faith. He is the #2 Recruit in class of 2029 and just made the Finals in both styles at Fargo (winning Greco but taking 2nd in Free). He will likely slot in at 157 for Faith, which gives them a huge boost. Wagner's slide down. That 157-285 run is going to be all nationally ranked guys. They also have Riley Crandall in class of 2029 who got Fargo 7th at 94lbs and will be a potential 106 for them

Didn't see that coming at all; coulda given me a hundred guesses and I wouldn't have gotten it

If that's true, he'll be able to visit him while he goes to AFA in Colorado Springs.  Pretty sure the surviving brother went to Federal prison in CO!

Thank you for sharing this I for the longest time thought Asher was in the Mccort pipeline that's huge for FCA because Mccort is probably going to be top 25 caliber at every weight aside from 215.

I’ve been busy and just now seeing these lists of top schools for both Anderson and Borge. Mizzou would love to have both of you. Dean spent some time with and took pictures with Keegan O’Toole and Aeoden Sinclair while at Fargo. Hopefully that’s a good sign for all of us Tiger 🐯 fans.

Bachmann mentioned being really excited about the Missou call in the flow video about his recruiting. I am still in the lehigh camp but my gut is saying Missouri,Lehigh, ohio state top 3.

I thought Lehigh was leading really hard.. but we will see, I can see tOSU, because of Adam Waters, and Iowa in the mix.

I saw that, specifically mentioned Maple. Maple has done a dang good job of recruiting and coaching. Glad to have him around. Hopefully it’s for a long time. Most importantly the recruits seem to really like him. Bachmann, does he project as a 125/133? Couple years still before he hits any campus. 141/149 to me wouldn’t surprise me. He mentioned Iowa also, so we’ll see.

He is getting thick he said to seabass when he called him in that video that he was between 150-155 right now.

Ronnie Ramirez as well.

Agree, I'm not sure how long Ronnie holds down 125 though he seems really tall and long for that weight.

I don't think he holds 125 at all. While I realize it's the offseason, he just wrestled at CA freestyle state championships in May at 65kg (143 lbs). I think he redshirts, bulks up and comes back at 141 as a RS Freshman.

Don't sleep on Ramirez- he's slick on his feet, has a really good slide by, pretty tough on top, and a very high ceiling. It's going to be an interesting room at OSU for the next couple of years, and I think Ramirez is one that will benefit the most from being in a competitive college room.

He was extremely competitive with Knox, and I believe it was first match off the scale at the open. I think he has an incredibly high ceiling, but I also think the Raney's will benefit immensely from being in that room and if that is the case I am not sure where he fits in aside from redshirt years? That being said I firmly believe okst has the best room in the country from 125-149 yes I know PSU has lilledahl, blaze, ono, svn, nick lee, zain,Gillman but Ramirez,Jax,Zinkin,Raney's,Fix,RBY,Swiderski,Sakamoto,Figs,Spratley,Hughes,Jamison,Vega I think there is something to be said about getting a ton of different feels of really good guys who also have different styles.

6 titles w/ 7 wrestlers seems a bit better than 3 titles w/ 13 wrestlers.  Especially since three or four of those seven wrestlers are heavy favorites to win a title this year as well while none of the 13 are favorites to win a title.

I do agree that more looks can be better, I just don't agree on the 13 being better than those 7 (yet).

I definitely agree the quality is there for PSU. I was more saying I think having access to many different partners who have different styles that are also high level is a very big advantage for your training situation.

You're absolutely correct.  It isn't like they are chump change - how many age level medals does that group of 13 have?  How many fargo titles or WNO victories?  It's a lot.

10 fargo I believe 10WNO, 6 age level medals off the top of my head.

Mizzou Fan- not sure Dean hung out with O'Toole or Sinclair at Fargo or took any pictures with them but that being said Mizzou has been contacting him and he has mostly talked with Maple. Mizzou has a good thing going for sure. No pictures or anything doesn't mean anything either way good or bad.

Who has come off the board (verballed) already?

Villasenor- Okie State

Tsarni- Air Force

DeSalvo- Minnesota

Am I missing anyone besides these guys?

Also, when does Bassett make his decision? Heard maybe at Fargo but that has come and went, I imagine that may impact some kids on the 2027 list as well b/c he will obviously command a lot of resources from a school in terms of scholarship and NIL monies. Also, Bassett(s) and Miller still a package deal? I am guessing so, but did not know if anything had changed because Bo listed three schools and Melvin Miller had more on there but thinking they have not been updated since.

Willie- would love to see those graphics again as kids start to narrow it down.

We should see some of that soon as home visits start 8/4 when this dead period ends  and visits will happen shortly after that as it seems the fall is a pretty busy time for those.

I'm assuming I misunderstood that. When he said between 50 and 55 I thought he was referring to KG. But given that Seabass said they could have real goes, it makes more sense if he was talking 150-155 pounds. He definitely doesn't seem like a full 150 pounds.

I heard the reason he and Botero switched mid-season was because he could not make the cut anymore. He was supposed to go 138 at Fargo I am wondering if the reason we did not see him is because he could not get down and did not feel ready to go 144 yet.

Truzz- if we are talking Bachman and Fargo, the reason I think he was not there is because he wrestles for PR which I dont think would allow him to compete there. Kind of part of the rules that have come out with country transfers etc. I think if a kid represents another country they are not allowed to wrestle in Fargo. I am pretty sure this is the case now when an athlete transfers to represent another country.

I am not 100% sure on this topic, so you may very well be right. But I do know that there is a US Territory "team" that competes at Fargo. For example, David Maldonado wrestled at U15 Pan-Ams (68 kg for Puerto Rico) and was silver in Free and bronze in GR and then competed at Fargo (for team UST) in 16U 150 (Free & GR) two months later.
