Did Iowa fans enjoy Mocco versus Mirasola?

I’m not an Iowa fan so haven’t seen everything they said, but I haven’t seen much excitement over Bassett losing.  Did see some PSU fans gloating that he lost though IIRC.

If by “gloating”, you mean people correcting Iowa fans who claimed Bassett is three years younger than Stannich, sure.

Similarly, Melvin Miller is older than U17 71kg champ Jayden James, despite being a grade behind him.

Bo Bassett is only the 5th best Bishop MCCourt wrestler this weekend. Jax won seniors, Herring was second, and his younger brothers Melvin and Keegan are in the finals. I bet that's pretty humbling for him.

Well I think the one guy is a reporter or something.  No one said anything “bad” that I saw, I would just consider a lot of that to be “gloating that he lost.”  I just wanted to show that it was more than just 1 or 2 people like is often the claim.

Also...not for nothing, but Mirasola isn't really a natural HWT either. He's more of a natural '97 but so is his Brother and his Brother is a little bit better...or maybe just has had more success due to not having to be the one who goes up a weight.

So if a Soph gets a TD on a Sr in HS who had 5 techs and lost a single match 5-5 at the World Championships last year, is that really the flex Iowa fans seem to think it is?
