Huh....I thought he was VERY specifically under an order to STAY here because it was deemed his life WAS in danger and he would be forced to join a gang if he went back.

He not only was not under a deportation order, he regularly checked in with immigration officials as was required.

So, you didn't read the lawfare article?  Among other things, the informant was quoted (and not available for cross-examination) by a detective (who was also not available for cross-section) who was later suspended.  These are the results of the extreme trust put in the testimony of law enforcement.

Judge ordered him to not be deported.  Judge allowed him to be released without bail.  Government did not object (because he was not deemed a threat), thus this ruling was final.

Play that out.  Mistakes will happen.  If one was made one was made.  Now it’s El Salvador’s problem.   If they think he isn’t a terrorist they will let him go.  Is it possible El Salvador has evidence that they didn’t tell cnn yet?

He was not deported in 2019 because it was found that the claim he had gang ties was not reliable (officer later suspended) and there was zero hard evidence.
