Still wouldn’t beat Penn St.

It's not guaranteed or even likely, but they conceivably could win.

125 Volk is huge for the weight and could upset LL like Seymour did

133 Ayala is a favorite over whoever PSU puts out here

141 Bailey is a favorite over whoever PSU puts out here (even if it's Blaze)

149 SVN is a favorite over Williams

157 Kasak is favorite over McNeil

165 MM is a favorite over Caliendo but it's close

174 tossup (Arnold/Kennedy vs Welsh/Arnold

184 Ferrari is a favorite over Ryder

197 tossup (Ferrari vs Barr)

HWT Keuter is a favorite over Mirasola

In what world is 174 a toss up with Haines in there?

That’s a solid squad, I would expect ~150 points. You would favor Ayala over Ono? I wouldn’t.

And no Haines at 174? Not sure I understand

But wasn't the 2024 lineup supposed to beat them ... is Bob happy?

And why only two Ferrari?

Ayala is a finalist and Ono has never wrestled folkstyle before

I had a typo.  174 would either be Haines or Welsh

That’s crazy. You hypothesize/project/prognosticate all the time. You’re doing it here assuming five 1st year transfers. Yet refuse to with this situation just because Ayala has made the finals?

If you would be given one meelion dollars to pick the winner in January, you’d pick Drake Ayala over Masanosuke Ono?

This is like all the Nebraska threads this month.  Everything goes perfect for PSU opponent and not well for PSU and all you get is less of a blowout.

Bailey would not be a favorite over Blaze and McNeil would be a small 157, and if Welsh goes 184 that is a toss-up with Angelo. And Ayala would not be a favorite over Ono (reigning world champ at that weight class). Haines against anyone at 174 is not a tossup.

Reigning world champ in folkstyle at 133?

I think PSU will get 6 champs next year.

125 Lilledahl

133 Ono

157 Kasak

165 Mesenbrink

174 Haines

197 Barr

Not super confident in Ono and Kasak, but Van Ness has a very good chance as well.

They would beat the rest of the NCAA in a dual.

Depends ... beginning semester or end of dual season transfer?
