I think Chittum takes his RS. I don’t think Paddy or Birden drop to 157. My hot take is the addition of Jeremy Ginter was purposeful and he very well may be the best fit…outside of Shaw as a true freshman. Cannon takes the 165 spot.

Oklahoma has eight of of ten projected starters as transfers.  And they have several significant transfers not starting.  If note:

133: Tyler Wells, Tyson Charmoli

149: Jack Gioffre

157: Peyton Kellar, Carter Schubert

165: Rafael Hipolito

174: Morgan Mannix

184: DeAnthony Parker, Brian Soldano

197: Bradley Hill

285: Juan Mora

Only Beric Jordan and Alex Braun are "homegrown" are not transfers but are new to the starting lineup this year as redshirt freshman

I am secretly hoping for Focus to transfer there, or Stewart to transfer there and go 197lbs, then they need Jordan Decatur, Isaiah Powe, Chris Cannon, or Jesse Vasquez at 141 as well as Soldano or Parker dropping to 174lbs and that lineup is SALTY.

Decatur still has eligibility? And if they go with the lineup you suggested, it will consist of 1 AA. Not sure I'd call that salty.

Would be 2 AAs- AJF/Stewart and Kellar

Good Guess, I would make a couple changes

I do think Walker is going to redshirt and Mauger go 125.
I think Mendoza might go 133 with him going 61KG at Juniors. But I maybe wrong
I think you have to throw Seltzer in the mix at 141 if Edmond goes 149 (which wrestling 70 KG at U23 makes sense). But I can see a Mendoza/Seltzer/Hilton mix there.
Or I can see a lineup of
125: Mauger/Walker(if he doesn't redshirt)
133: Mendoza/Moore
141: Edmond/Seltzer/Hilton/Mendoza
149: Edmond/Seltzer/Rath
157: Conway/Rath
165: Mayfield
174: Steed
184: Sinclair
197: Hawks
285: Stoner/Jackson

Nebby

125: Lauridsen/Koehler

133: JVD

141: Hardy

149:Lamer

157: Trelly

I think first half is pretty clear. I could see Ayoub potentially being a factor at 125/133 also. From 165 up it gets complicated.

What is their best lineup on paper:

165: Minto

174: Araujo/Eise

184: Allred

197:McDanel

285: AJF

But that relies on Minto and Allred sucking down to 165 and 184 again and AJ wanting to heavyweight. Could be a lot of mixing and matching in those upper weights.

If Ayoub makes 125 I will eat my shoe.  😂

According to @Jimmy Cinnabon, Caliendo has considered going 157. Doubt he's big enough to go 174.

My 'thinking' he could go 174 is that he has a different kind of monster to go through than Monster Mitch.  I don't think he's the same animal at 157 as he is at 165.  I don't think it makes any sense.

makes no sense 157 is 13-14 deep next year with guys he has yet to crush and who are accustomed to the weight and competition. Match ups are matchups, he's won all those accept to number ones at 165

I agree with everything you said here. I just like reminding everyone that Mr. Pastry really wants to push the "Caliendo to 157" narrative.

After seeing Caliendo, Hall, and Bearclaw lose to the likes of Scott, Blaze, and Jacques at 74 KG (163lbs) - I am not convinced dropping to 157lbs from 165lbs is better than going up to 174lbs.  Caliendo has the horse to go 174lbs and would only have Haines to contend with, really, rather than a slew of contenders and the unknown of the cut.  Is Haines at 174 > Mesenbrink at 165?  Even if equal, do you take the chance because you know how a Monster Mitch match goes 10/10 time - it ends in the L.

Where does Evan Bates fit now that he has signed? One year of eligibility left for him and Hawks, who gets the nod? I also think we see Rath RS and take over 157 the following year. Idk if he can make and maintain 149.

I think Bates goes 197 and Hawks gives it a go at heavyweight (or just becomes the backup)
