I could see Hawks going back down to 184 instead of 197.

I think so too...with Larkin down at 149 and McLane back in the lineup.

141: Luke Stanich
149: Kelvin Griffin
157: Logan Rozynski - ???

Caden Rogers (184) out for season due to injury

Rozynski may have outgrown 157 and could RS due to Brignola's return at 165

Sorry to hear that.  Have you looked at wrestlestat's Lehigh v. Cornell dual comparison without Rogers?

Wrestlestat has Andrew Macchiavello moving down to 184. Im unsure how well he will perform there, but it will fill the hole they had.

125 Vince Robinson

133 Zach Redding

141 Ryan Jack

149 Koy Buesguens

157 Jackson Arrington

165 Will Denny

174 Matty Singleton

184 Andrew Macchiavello

197 Cason Howle

285 Isaac Trumble

Considering Spencer missed all of his senior year, I would guess he RS and Rylan moves up to 184 (where he is probably much better)

Wrestlestat has Valencia in the lineup. He did not appear on their site until recently. He does not appear on asu website roster as of now. McClane or Randall at 157?

I assume McClane since he's better and they already have Ruiz at 165. Might be a little of a cut, but I don't see why he would come back to wrestle only to ride the bench at 165.

Herman is going 149. Jones is going 157. Herman will battle Carter McCallister (Mizzou transfer) for the spot.

Interesting in that Michigan now has the younger Mantanona brother heading up to 184lbs with Joe Walker staying on for one more year.

125 - #27 Sotello, 2x NQ
133 - #14 Ragusin, 1x AA, 4x NQ
141 - #6 Lemley, 2x NQ
149 - #5 McNeil, 3x AA, 3x NQ
157 - #33 Catrabone, RSFR
165 - #7 Mantanona, 1x NQ
174 - #29 Walker, 0x NQ
184 - #6 Mantanona, RSFR
197 - #35 Walters, RSSO
285 - #10 Ghadiali, 1x AA, 4x NQ

Interesting in that now that Beau Mantanona is now listed at 174lbs, even with Joe Walker on the roster.

Does this mean Joe Walker is heading to 165lbs?  Does this mean that 157/165 is going to be a wrestler by committee until someone (or sometwo) kids separate themselves?

That means for 157/165 we could see any of these kids spot start (or even solidify themselves as the starter):
- A. Galacha (157)
- Z. Walker (157)
- C. Hilton (157)
- C. Catrabone (157/165)
- D. Gilcher (157/165)
- J. Gates (157/165)
- J. Walker (165)
- J. Knudten (165)

I think, if the intention for Joe Walker is to compete for a spot and Beau is heading to 174lbs, then Joe is headed to 165lbs.  That is all theoretical, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Joe end up at Northern Illinois 2nd semester (think Lehigh HWT last season).  I don't want to see it, but I just don't see how Walker could make 165lbs.  He has been very lean for a very long time at Michigan.  Big fan of his, so I do hope he can finish his career healthy.

All this said, if Walker is coming back and is heading to 165lbs, I think that makes him the front-runner there.  I would think that Catrabone would be the front-runner at 157lbs.  That leaves Gilcher and Gates next up at either of those weights and trying to earn those spots as well.  Those would be my top four favorites for those two weight classes - mind you, if Walker plays the spot starting role at 174/184 for the Mantanona bros, then the 157/165 becomes a three man race between the other three (my thinkings).

Not much has changed in CBUS. I have it looking like this for now.

125 - McCrone until Kilkeary beats him.
133 - Davino until Bouzakis beats him.
141 - Mendez.
149 - Stiles.
157 - Cannon if he can hold the weight (he needs to).
165 - Paddy until Birden or Cannon beat him.
174 - Kharch until injuries or father time beat him.
184 - Fishback.
197 - Shumate until Geog beats him.
285 - Feldman.

Some of the Buckeye toons are throwing Wolbert's name around. He committed to OKST before Jax and the Raney Bros...

Mendez looks a bit gaunt...

Who goes 157 if Cannon cannot hold it?

I like the idea of Paddy being able to spend a whole season at 165lbs more than him dropping to 157lbs late because he gets beat out by Cannon (which I am not totally certain that happens... I imagine Cannon is forced to suck the weight the balance of the season if/when he realizes the cut is too much).

On the flipside, were Kharch to get hurt, could we see Cannon go up to 174 mid-season?  That would be wild.

Brother we are thin at 157.  There really isn't anyone if Cannon can't hold it. I can't see Paddy getting there or even wanting to get there.  Cannon or bust...

Miller and Bassett could fill those spaces in the future though...:classic_wink:

What is the connection with Joe and NIU?

Pains me to say this as an NIU alum, but that's a big step down academically.

You should be more concerned about what he is having to explain to Stiles....
