He is on the sideline while Spratley is wrestling in the Semi Finals - and he is flossing/cleaning/picking his teeth? What, next he'll start brushing them or digging ear wax or picking his nose? Biting into a big slice of Pizza and then giving an interview while chewing?

Come on coach - it is nauseating.

David Taylor has wrestled upper-middle weight basically his whole college and senior career. 
 

Troy Spratley is a light weight. 
 

OSU employs other experienced past lightweight wrestlers to coach other lightweights. 
OSU has Thomas Gilman who wrestled as a lightweight and was an accomplished wrestler. 

Cael does not sit for all his wrestlers for all matches. Especially for the lightweights.

it could be worse. I think Les Miles was seen picking a booger and eating it on national TV during a big SEC football game.

Barry Davis was always a weird interview in the finals watching his guys while quint what’s his nvts would jam that mic in his face.

I think they banned Barry from the matside a couple times at B1Gs and NCAAs because he'd go nuts.

Ha he did.  I hated those interviews.  He just wanted to watch his team.  And the mic jammed in his face.    Tell me about the last time you are popcorn Mr davis …. Ha

Yeah what's with him.  Shows up on campus a few months before the season and moves them up from 10th to no worse than third in the first time he's coached anything.  Hamiti and Hendricksen finally break through to the finals against great opponents.  He's bad news.

well.. i was cleaning up blood from my wrestler while eating a slice of pizza and eventually had to jus tset my pizza down on the scorers table...

I can't speak to his reasoning, but that male pattern baldness and those gold medals?

I mean, who even cares about LSU Women's Gymnastics at this point, ammiright?

(I mean, to be clear...I've never actually watched LSU Gymnastics, but I'm still...quite the fan...or I used to be until Okie St Wrestling become a contender again).

I noticed in DT's post-semis interview he was very reserved and almost dejected sounding when talking about the matches against Haines and Kerkvliet. First I thought he was just tired from a long day, but he perked up a lot when talking about Spratley's match (even before DC came in). I think it was hard on him emotionally to coach against Levi and Greg

I don't think he was dejected at all, I think he was thrilled. I have been in a situation(with...needless to say FAR lower stakes) where I coach against kids I coached in kids club, middle school, a little bit in College and you want to win, but then you think about watching those kids grow and their pain(again, this is going, placing or winning state) and you're excited and then again, you think about that kid you spent hours with and you're conflicted.

And the last thing you want to do is seem overjoyed. A kid who viewed you as a mentor or a hero(that's more DT specific, LOL) and...it's going to be mixed feelings, but you want to win first and foremost.

I also find those who talk about their large manhood are overcompensating. All I can say...I can drink a bottle of water with one hand...which I think just means average, but...what do I know!
