Byrd/Davis. I hope Davis fizzles again but PSU has some black voodoo Focus magic in their veins and I am more scared of tomorrow morning than Saturday night.

Spratley/Ramos is going to be a blowout for one person. Fireworks.

Lovett/Webster is either going to be super tight down to the wire or a Lovett crash course (hate). Everyone loves a B1G finals rematch.

Is KOT A-OK?

Can DeVos continue his run of being criminally under seeded?

Plott/ Allred. If you are lost look up and find the lights because that's where the loser is

Beard/Barr someone has to make the semis and the only question is if they need to be missing a lung or a hamstring but it will be a great match.

Does Steveson finally put Schultz on the Monjourno his man boobs have long deserved? Or does he get stuck under  those fat sweaty titties and have a rib broken in the process from that cankle of a neck laying on our greatest 125kg ever?

I would rather McEnelly wrestle Plott than Foca. I can see Max taking Foca down multiple times and teching him or getting pinned by Foca.

McEnelly ain't getting pinned by anyone.

You may have just won the Vernal Equinox Sentence of the Day Award with this gem (below).  If Steveson does get stuck under that ballast of gravity and gravy, it may also be a Death Sentence Award.

i think norman is the most underrated wrestler in the NCAA

I think he had KOT beaten and then just ran out of fuel.  I guess KOT gets a shard of credit, but I mostly attribute the less by Norman with his own self-Conquest

I said it after CKLV.. I thought we was a problem. I was nervous for KOT when I saw the draw and that it was going to be an evening match when Norman was going to be feeling good.

As for the original question, I can't recall a 1/4 Finals round that I have been as excited for as this. You have a number of guys who could be surprise semi-finalists, elite guys facing off in the quarters. It's always a good round, but this year it's a step above IMO.

To be fair, I am a huge KOT supporter, but I don't think this is a fair statement. KOT has a quality in him where he can just get it done. Even in his post-match interview, he acknowledged that he thought he might lose the match, but the difference between Norman and Keegan was that Norman tried to survive on his lead and shut down his own wrestling thinking he had enough separation to get the win. He did not. I think Lorenzo Norman is going to be an absolute force for the rest of this tournament and the next three, but this was likely a big learning lesson.

That being said, I am very nervous for KOT assuming he makes the finals against either Hamiti or Haines.

Norman is bbq. Day two refs don't tolerate constant backpedaling.

KOT has the injury we do not mention. His big balls however....

Sorry to be late to this party. Did Gable get a stalling DQ in the second round last night? I was called back into work before I could see 197 and 285. Thanks in advance!

Indeed he did. Slavikouski had what appeared to be an odd game plan to back out of bounds against light pressure and get himself DQ'd

Why is Schultz laying on Bruce Baumgartner?

125- Sprately / Ramos (both guys like to scrap)

133- Ayala / Bouzakis (every Bouzakis match is wild)

141- Happel / Koderhandt (both guys have been good for a long time and winner finally AA's)

149- Henson / Williams (the returning champ vs the on fire youngster)

157- Kasak / Blaze (Kasak's insane strength vs Blaze's scrambling)

165- Hall / Garvin (Been a lot of scoring in the previous two matches between these guys with each winning one)

174- Ruiz / DeVos (Go Jacks!!!)

184- McEnally / Foca (The stingy/crafty vet vs the young bull)

197- Beard / Barr (PSU vs prior PSU)

285- Kueter / Trephan (both guys have wrestled great and should be a toss up. Other 3 matches have decisive favorites)

Pretty sure KOTs injury occurred during his match against Wolak earlier this season. Still managed to major him, but it was clear he tweeked something in his knee.
