I am 100% certain that Draegen Orine will not be wrestling this season and will be joining the military. Will he wrestle again at a later date, with today's relaxed eligibility rules? I can't speak on that.

Dang.....interesting. You would know....

TJ Stewart and Tyler Stewart removed from Virginia Tech's roster

Wrestlestat has them removed from the transfer portal. Does that mean anything or just formatting since they were removed from the roster?

it's a great question.  I have asked @andegre, but he may not be checking these boards as he has not yet responded over the years.

goes without saying that I am greatly appreciative of wrestlestat and I have donated money over the years.  I just don't know what logic it uses to make its (re)classifications

Anthony Ferrari to Campbell. Thought he was going to Morgan State.

Me too. Can we discuss Morgan State? I do realize it is a new program, but how long does Monday get there before people start criticizing his progress? Again, tons of challenges, hard to recruit, etc....BUT, they absolutely suck.

I believe the program's first year was 2023-2024 and their first year of postseason eligibility was 2024-2025. So personally I'd give him one more year to at least show improvements before I made a move. But I agree, they suck...a lot.

what are the chances of a move them to D2? /  given the $ talks era we are in / the ceiling is extremely low to put a competitive  line up on the mat

I'm not exactly privy to the rules on this. But I'd say the chances are probably slim to none. I know there's a few exceptions (F&M, Edinboro, etc.) but seems like most schools are the same division for all sports.

Xavier Doolin was a stud in hs, maybe he can put together an AA senior season for Morgan State.

North KC High? I know he’s from Mo and went to Northern Colorado.

Wow sucks for Morgan State but good for Campbell

Are we sure this Ferrari is any good/worth the headache?  He's on school #5 at this point and has amassed a record of 2 - 1.  He wasn't even Long Island's post season starter last year (unsure if someone beat him for the spot or it was off-mat issues).

If Morgan St is trying to build a program from scratch - dunno if he's the culture fit you want and I question if he'll deliver on the mat too

There's sucking, and then there's sucking.  While I was the EIWA's SID we had a few new teams enter the conference.  At least one of them didn't field a full team and a couple saw their entire squad go 0-2.

Granted, the EIWA no longer includes the Ivies and is down to just 12 teams, but Morgan State sent 10 wrestlers to the 2025 tournament, six of them won bouts, three placed, and Doolin was an alternate NCAA qualifier.  They recorded four falls and didn't finish last as a team.  They're not going to win the EIWA title anytime soon, but I've seen far worse first years.

All great questions. He was tough and good in highschool, and then he just fell of a cliff. I don't know if he is good anymore. He WAS the most troubled brother, not even close. He made AJ look like a preacher, but he seems to have got his stuff together? OR they are hiding it better. As far as morgan st, I seriously question how hard Kenny Monday is working to make that place better. This is for sure a bad and unfair opinion, because I am looking at the program from a distance, but I see nothing about pushing that university. He still has a big name, I think he could/would get some good in home visits that way? Anyway....just some some random thoughts.

Ferrari will never see the post-season before transitioning to a middling MMA career that ends with him coaching at a club in Miami or somewhere akin to that.

I have no insight at all but for the sake of things I hope you are wrong about Morgan St/Monday

I would think that recruiting at Morgan State is an uphill battle.  Most bluechip recruits would pick a top 10 school over Morgan State.  I would also think that the school would be great for AA/Black recruits but a difficult land for other ethnicities  solely based on the the school demographics. - 72% Black or African American, 4.85% Hispanic or Latino, 2.96% Two or More Races, 1.59% White, 0.52% Asian

Didn’t he get accused of beating up like a 50 year old guy or something about a year ago?
