It's been a rumor on the Iowa and Iowa State boards for a little while.  Not sure though.  

Separately, Gabe Christenson and Aiden Allen are off Virginia's roster and listed as unattached

Because you aren’t locked in until you show up for classes. You can say you’re attending a new school everyday. Doesn’t matter until you actually do.

I don't think he ever actually enrolled in the school. 

 

Maybe he told them yes but never had any real intention of going and had already applied at UTC? I don't have any idea how it happened, just know that it did lol.

Man… committed to Minnesota then decommitted… Committed to Iowa for 1 year and had a greyshirt while wrestling with the HWC… Wrestled for Iowa State for 2 years… Committed to Ohio State silently then left after WTT… Now Committed to Chattanooga.. 

 

Committed to 5 Universities within 4 years. Crazy… Also, Very interesting and sad if all that stuff/rumors are true about his Dad over-parenting and having too much control. 
 

Nonetheless, wish him the best and it’s cool that he is back in his hometown! Chattanooga got a lot of nice pickups in the portal this year. Hope they are tough and cause some damage!

Even if he signed something he can't be held to it. He could still go somewhere else without issues.

On another note, somebody posted on the VT board that TJ Stewart had to be driven in a golf cart to his classes by a coach last year because he wouldn’t go otherwise 

 

It was also mentioned his grades are so bad, he probably can’t wrestle until the second semester, at presumably NC State.

Wow that’s crazy considering he is a Blair guy and historically they are very good students bc Blair is no joke and doesn’t mess around with the school aspect of things..can’t remember the last time someone was academically ineligible ..wild tj must have thought he was at an SEC school

From what I understand it was less to do with general disinterest in academics, and more related to the decline state of his mother's health (she has been suffering with cancer).  It sounds like they are an extremely close family.  It could cause people to react in all sorts of ways.
