If Max Mcenelly hits the portal, with 3 years left. He would command NFL money

Okla State just lost Plott.  If I was DT I would go after Mcenelly.  OSU has Brayden Thompson lurking for the spot but I would take Mcenelly over Thompson for sure.

Spencer Moore and McNeil in the portal...  Doesn't appear great from the outside.

Maybe, but I wouldn't be too quick to say it reflects negatively on Koll.  Both put it 4 years at UNC so I'm guessing both of these guys got their degrees. UNC is a good school academically, and both Moore and McNeil made the All-ACC Academic Team.  If I had to guess, I'd say both guys are prioritizing their graduate studies and are looking for a full ride at the school whose program best matches their career goals, sort of like Cardenas.  I doubt this is driven by a desire to get in a better wrestling room.

Isn't Spencer Moore like 19 years old after his 4 years at UNC?

And here I heard one of the great things about the program was how close the guys were and "We don't have any transfers. We are all home grown.  Except for 125."

Don't sell your souls, Huskers!

We develop.  We developed Caleb Smith. We also give you what you earn. If you are an AA you will get paid

Nebraska is only a guy or 2 away from a title

Actually you're about 3 guys away.  Penn State beat Nebraska by 60 team points.  A national champ scoring lots of bonus is good for about 24 team points, so you'll need at least 3 guys (2 of which need to be Hodge contender level guys) to make up those 60 points.

Penn State loses Starocci and Kerk, 34.5 team points in total.

Nebraska loses 22.5 (Lovett) + 7.5 (Smith) = 30 team points in total

Probably true.  And good for Cardenas.  He may be the first Michigan grad transfer to not be enrolled in a masters of Social Work or getting a Real Estate development certificate.   Heindselman went from a biology undergrad to a Social Work masters, very diverse fields!

I'm intrigued by Berge, too.

I would love to see Nebraska win...I'm an Idaho Lovett fan... but they are more like 3-4 top level guys away.

PSU returns 115 points in 6 weights (excluding Davis who will be replaced by Ono)

Nebraska returns 87 points in 8 weights

Nebraska has to pick up 23 points if PSU only wrestles with 6 guys... however we know that they just reload... Ono, Blaze, Desmond, Mirasola x2, Sealy, Cochran,  Ryder... out of that group guys will rise up, fill spots and score some points at the NCAA. Even if each one scored 7 points on the conservative side, that's still 143 points... that's 56 points to make up. I would love to see a team like Nebraska do it, but they would need a lot of help.

Nebraska only needs one transfer, as long as it is Mesenbrink or Haines or Barr...

In addition to this, next year I'd expect Kasak to do better, and Taylor, a bit worse.

Agree... some underperformed for PSU and Nebraska would have to keep the same results or better.

If by 2nd place you mean title, then yeah.

BTW - When is your annual PSU falling post coming - is this the prelude?

Keep at it, at some point/juncture it will be right.

Stay away from Berge. But in all honesty his brother is on staff at SDSU and is running a nice club program in SD. I think Berge will be an SDSU guy through and through.
