The Raney's

These dudes wrecked their State tournament and there's two of them!  Do you think they are a more valuable recruit than Bo, Jax, and Dreshaun? Where do they end up?

Before folks ask:  Jayden's lone loss was a 10-7 match to Forrest in OT.

Other than a 1-0 victory over Sem's Botello, he had two Techfalls and 41 6 pointers (fft/Pinfall).

Jordyn had 12 pinfalls.

These results are probably more indicative of their talents than their pinning everyone in the KY state tourney.

And they are only Juniors.  They should consider leaving KY for their senior season as neither of them will go 6 minutes in that state next year.  Sure they will go tot he Ironman again, but they will have no competition at all in KY.  I believe one is on track to be a 6xer and one a 5xer.  So maybe that allure keeps them in state.

I think the package deal aspect makes them more sought after than any of those guys individually. Say the other 3 win a national title that's what 20 points before bonus? Even if neither of them wins a title if you get a high AA out of both of them you are probably netting more overall points. I think you can potentially bank in more upside for them as well given their current training environment is each other and whenever they can get to Illinois. I think PSU and Okie state are probably out on them just because of lineup issues. They probably project at 133/141 or 141/149 and both of those schools are going to have some serious overlap so I would think Iowa or Illinois are the two likeliest landing spots? Perhaps V-tech or missouri throw their hat in the ring.

Union County is a pipeline to Illinois, what more do you need to know?  image.jpeg.d73c10a6c9ad803e57b2c96740e25837.jpeg

to add to the Illinois steam. Jordyn has two age level medals in greco gold and bronze. Thats going to be the best place for him to develop in greco if he wishes to out of the programs mentioned.

Going to be interesting to see where they end up. Coaches from Illinois, Iowa, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Penn State, Arizona State, Iowa State and Ohio State all at the Kentucky State Wrestling tournament. May have been a few additional that were not seen.

Dennis Hall about 90 minutes away from Iowa City in Dubuque. Dennis and Terry go back a long way. If they want to continue to train Greco, not going to find a better situation.

Not sure if they train there full time or not, but believe they do. Also have Brett Back another young Greco talent there as well.

I don't usually get caught up in the recruiting stuff, but I REALLY want to root for these kids in every match for their whole careers, so if they could commit to Iowa...

If they end up anywhere other than Illinois ill be surprised.

I want so much for this to be true. Aaron Stewart and the Raineys would be a heck of a class.

I think Dom munaretto is still floating too he would be a great get for 125 he should make that weight pretty easily for 4 years. Honestly probably needs to focus on growing into it more than anything.
