Ramos weighed in and was warming up.   His coach "ducked" him against Nebraska's Smith

Yes Ersland also sat him against Minnesota earlier.  Flynn had taken him to SV the last time they wrestled

Ramos had nothing to gain by wrestling. He has the number 1 seed locked up for big tens.

Still, bad for the sport. He is a senior in Purdue's last home dual of the season (on national television) and one of the programs best wrestlers ever. To not go out there in an effort to protect his seed for the Big10 tournament just sucks.

Listening to the commentators it was said they thought he was recovering from a light touch of Flu.

Who knows what reality is?

Love it when there's nothing to gain from wrestling.  We need more of this in the sport.  🦆

Agree.  Especially since it was towards the end of the dual so there were probably a bunch of people tuning in to get ready for Iowa/OSU.

Not to mention he may have still gotten the 1 seed at B10’s even if he lost.

It was hyped as the "match of the dual" on the B1G Network, in a dual meet which didn't exactly have a whole bunch of stellar matchups.  Then the announcers had egg on their face when Ramos didn't go out there.  Just a bad look all around.
