Best moment of Trumps presidency so far. Surrounded by young girls signing the EO to ban males from women's sports.

What a joke. So unimportant compared to everything else going on. The idiots can celebrate though.

Not a joke to those girls and women that are being protected.

I have 9 granddaughters (along with thousands of other young ladies) they can now compete against other girls for opportunities for state championships and for College scholarships. They can compete without fear of being injured by a much stronger and much larger male athlete. To be honest this is something President Trump should have never had to address. If only a little common sense had been applied to these matters.

I was literally going to type the same exact thing!

Awesome. Thank you. I was hoping someone would put up the picture of President Trump signing the EO with all the young ladies huddled around him. I will figure out how to do that one of these days.

It is absolutely mind boggling how the resident D's on here do not think that picture is amazing!  Just shows where their true loyalty is...all about the partisanship over actual policy.

I thought  maybe it was a doctored photo.   This is from ABC news.   Not fake.

Absolutely right.   If this is the hill Ds want to die on, go for it.  Girls sports is girls sports.    For girls.   Girls bathrooms  are for girls.   Girls locker rooms are for girls.   Not for boys who say they are girls.   Same with women and men.   It is biology folks.   It is safe spaces folks.  Dismiss it at your peril.

@mspart I'm not going to split this into a "D's" vs "R's" thing - because that's just stupid. Politics only have something to do with it because some small minded politicians decided they wanted to blow it out of proportion and make it into a political issue.

Let's look at it from a common sense perspective instead.

  • The NCAA is a big organization - with some 1,100 schools and over 500,000 student athletes.
  • How many trans athletes of the 500,000+ athletes were participating in the NCAA? Less than 10 in all divisions.
  • How many trans athletes:
    • Had any kind of issues with locker room usage? Zero.
    • Had any kind of issues with any safe spaces? Zero.
    • Had any kind of issues with physically dominating others in their sport? Zero.
    • Were involved in any kind of gender problem whatsoever? Zero
  • So is the outrage out of reality? Or is the outrage manufactured for political reasons? The 2nd one.
  • How many non-trans NCAA athletes were involved in sexual misconduct/violence in the last year? MANY

When you have a child that is born with both male and female parts, it is often left up to the parent to "assign" the gender (rather than drown them at birth as had been done in the past.) Why? Because the child is NOT CLEARLY BIOLOGICALLY MALE OR FEMALE.

So @mspart, girls are girls and boys are boys, except for a small percentage (~1%) of children.

When the "assignment" turns out to not match who the child becomes as they grow up, that's what this is really about.

If you have a heart, it's a difficult not to have empathy for the child's position. It's a tough spot to be in. Don't hate on them.

If you are a conservative, I don't think you should view the federal government dictating how state institutions run their athletics programs as a good thing. There will be another democrat in the white house at some point, and if the courts do not stop this imposition of executive power, nothing will now stop that person from imposing similar demands via executive fiat.

here are some scenarios that would be legal if this is allowed to continue that conservatives wouldn't like.

1. You could have a democratic president require that public schools in the south teach students about the the civil war.

2. A democratic president might require that public schools teach kids about evolution and ban the teaching of "intelligent design".

3. Requiring all states to allow trans athletes to compete in whatever gender they want.

4. Requiring all schools include civics education.

The San Jose State volleyball player certainly resulted in an issue this year.  Her teammate filed a lawsuit because of it.

That said, I do agree that this issue has been overblown (which would include the political theater of having a bunch of little girls standing there while Trump signed the order).  But I also agree with what the order did.

It’s simpler than y’all think.   Chicks just don’t want d!ks in the locker room.

You would think libs would support that but they don’t.

Posted

You would think.   It takes people on the right to support the women.

First they said there isn't a problem.

Next they said gender affirming care and surgery isn't happening.

Next they said it is happening and it is a great thing that it is happening.

Next they said it is beautiful that a man pretends to be a woman and competes athletically against them and creams them.

Next they said there needs to be more gender surgery and must have them in prisons and for illegal aliens in prison.

Next they demanded Title IX be changed to say a man is a woman.

Now they complain that it is such a small problem that it is not worth taking any action over.   They are the ones that made it a problem in the first place.  And now they try to down play the effect.

An honest look at this shows this is the case.

To show what hypocrites they are:

Seattle Children's Hospital had a top surgery scheduled on a 16 year old.  Day after Trump said no m ore, they cancelled the surgery.   They could not afford to lose all the federal funds that keeps them in the black.

These crusaders are in it for the money, not for the fundamental reasons they said, for the care of the adolescent.
