I was assuming he would pick Iowa since it is lightweight U, but it seems like he might start his college career as a middleweight?  149 or 157?  He probably grows into an upperweight by the end of his career.  If so, Penn State probably makes more sense.

On Flo yesterday he said 65kg is a "comfortable" weight for him when talking about freestyle, so probably 141 or 149 right now, but he's still a junior

So he will likely be wrestling 157 or higher when he starts in college.

No.  There is nothing to indicate he will be 157lbs in college.  Everything points to 141 or 149.

He is only wrestling as heavy as he is now for team purposes.

He had said in other interviews how difficult it has been to get his weight up to and to maintain being 144lbs wrestling 144lbs.  He will be wrestling under 152lbs in the 152lb weight class throughout this week.

I mean, kids typically continue growing until they hit 21.  There's reason to believe he isn't fully grown now as a high school junior.

Isn't he a double holdback though? Might be done growing.

141 or 149 in college. It depends if he puts on more muscle. I believe he could be wrestling 138 right now if his team needed him to. It wouldn't be that much of a cut.

I think he would be best served to avoid cutting much weight because of how he trains and his pace/style. Feels like any meaningful weight cutting could really bite him with his training right now that I think for most people would absolutely cause them to be in an over trained state.

How large are his parents? That may indicate how much more he will grow.

Yes I've heard if your mother's father was bald; it's 50/50 you'll be bald

Dad wrestled 171 as a senior in high school.

Was that 171 at a national contending/Top 25 school or 171 at a school that might bake their Dvivisional State Tournament Finals once every three years?  Those sizes could be very different.

A full-sized 150lber from Detroit Catholic High School is going to look two weight classes larger than a full-sized 150lber from New Lothrop High School, for example.

Both are prestigious in their own rights and in their own divisions, but one is just on another level (and has been for decades).

Weight classes and divisions exist for a reason (in most states).
