Do freestyle rules foster challenges? It seems there have been more challenges in the U23s than I have normally seen in other international tournaments. I also saw many changes in the scoring after the challenges. Is it the rules, or are the refs not experienced enough to make the correct calls without constant reviews?

Why Las Vegas? No one is in the stands. Why not hold it somewhere more wrestling-friendly?

I don't get why many fans think so many athletes are juiced. Some of the comments in this thread are stupid. Bastida had some pimples on his face at 197! Maybe he just has pimples. Ohio State did poorly because they stopped juicing before the nationals. That is ridiculous. It takes a long time for all the PEDs to clear your system.

Goodale has never been a top coach. RU never performs well in the nationals. I don't think he is a very good recruiter and their wrestlers never take the next step.

Make is a two-feet pushout rule.

But are today's college wrestlers more fragile or beat up due to all the competitions they participate in, starting in youth programs and travel tournaments around the country?

If this match happens, I believe it will be a similar confrontation of styles.

I find that the ESPN+ app on my Apple TV works great. But the stream through Chrome does freeze up frequently. I have the matcast on my tv and it works great.

Drake is worn out. Iowa has a knack for doing that to its wrestlers.

What bothers me is that Cael has never acknowledged one of his own getting a great job. I see it in football all the time. An assistant gets a job opportunity and leaves the nest and the head coach is happy for his protege. That's the way coaching works. Cael should be proud of David.

It's not about who would win today. It's about cultivating a rivalry that would be great to see over the years. Plus, Cael needs to schedule better quality out-of-conference duals.

Sports are about fans, not about issues between coaches. Don't say you want to "grow the sport" and ignore the possibility of a great fan experience.
