It's been a looong time coming.  Hope they work out the kinks.  Oregon got shafted, Boise State and Arizona St getting a bye was a joke.  I think it should be power 4 Conference Champs guarantees a bid.  Other than that seed it correctly 1-12 based on the CFP Ranking.

They are going to adjust and get it right. They are also going to expand 16 teams. Most coaches don't want to sit around that long without playing.

Would it have changed anything?  Its the great thing about 12, the best team is sure to have a chance vs that 4 thing.

I completely agree. I actually wasn't aware of the seeding method until the brackets came out and thought it was pretty goofy.

Both semi final games were fantastic.  I'm about to turn this off because it's clearly already over.  Texas was a much better team than Notre Dame it seems

Ohio State has really cleaned up their game. No silly penalties. Defense is playing lights out. Against Texas they were a little sloppy.

I hope they don't go to 16.  It'll just be more blowouts.  I hope they reschedule it and the top 4 get a home game for the quarter finals.  They can rotate the bowls for the semis and the National Championship is the Rose Bowl.  Also condense it so the semis are on New Years

I'll try to help keep this as a wrestling topic.

SEC schools all dropped their wrestling programs. F the SEC (including their new teams).

Yes, if they do it correctly, like you suggested with the top 4 getting byes, with 12 at least you're biggest mismatch is 5 vs 12. With 16 you're going to have 1 play 16? I'm not watching.

#4 in the B1G = #1 NCAA

In NCAA D1 wrestling, has anyone gotten 4th place at B1Gs (team or individual) and followed it up with a Natty Daddy?

Big Ten finished 1st,2nd and 4th in final NCAA rankings in football. Good year for the Big Ten. Back to back National Champs for big Ten. In wrestling it fairly common for Big ten wrestlers to place 2nd,rd, or 4 th in the Big Ten Championships and come back and win NCAA Title.

Who has placed 4th then won it all?  That was what I was asking.

I know the B1G is the standard.  We're OP in wrestling.

In 2000, Carl Perry (Illinois) won NCAAs as the 8 seed at 141, after placing 4th Big 10s

In 1997, Jesse Whitmer (Iowa) won NCAAs at 125 as the 6 seed, after placing 4th Big 10s

In 1996, Jeff Walter (Wisconsin) won NCAAs at 275 as the 6 seed, after placing 4th Big 10s

J Jaggers (tOSU) won NCAAs two years in a row after placing 3rd in the conference.
