Love me a Bulliet Old fashioned, but I prefer a small dose of really good maple syrup instead of simple syrup made with sugar.  
 

Manhattan with Bulliet rye whisky, a premium sweet vermouth and Luxardo cherry syrup.

@Rugbypoet, re: your Blanton collection

that is very impressive.  I received a bottle of Blanton for my wedding from my brother and best man, but otherwise haven't had it much.

It might make me a tater, but I do find Blantons quite enjoyable. I got lucky and found three bottles in Indiana this holiday break visiting the in-laws and paid $89 per bottle. Wife is from the same area as Alred from Neb.

Rugbypoet, that is more Blantons than my local Pa State Store has offered in one year. Fortunately my neighbor works in NYC and they have plenty.

In honor of Iowa I am starting the nite with WhistlePig Straight Rye 12 Year. Coin toss on Blantons or Buchanons Scotch 18 Year for PSU dual with Nebby.

Close contest which state is worse for allocated between PA and NC. When I lived in PA I was too young to appreciate decent spirits.

Totally different though right?  Doesn't Spindrift contain actual fruit juice?

They are both sparkling waters, so I don't think it's totally different.  Maybe if it was more like sugary juice, but Lemon Spindrift is 3 calories.
