Ferrari has only wrestled two matches against average competition and we are already anointing him champion? Let's see him wrestle somebody before we put him on the top step.

^^^ this ^^^ was true but

this ^^^ probably not exactly.

Pretty sure AJ had more points at end but then the altercation resulting in DQ, not that he lost then started a fight resulting in DQ.  The DQ then became the official loss on record.

There are many matches in which the other person has more points at the end and the other guy gets his hand raised.

It can happen when someone loses via Pinfellery or Injury as well.

The match isn't complete until it is complete and a hand is raised.  The stamp of victory is the hand raise.

if ferrari has a sterling reputation and Glazier is known as a criminal and the exact same things plays out, does ferrari get dq'd?

You, nor anybody else, can say otherwise.

If the purpose is to determine who will do better against a common opponent, I'd rather know who had more points at the end vs. who got DQd.

... that'd be The Focus.

Sorry, I should not have used "we." Some wrestling pundits are.

I don't disagree in that Focus is and was the better wrestler.

Results are results, though.  Focus has zero victories over Glazier and Glazier has a victory over Focus.

Also, how epic would it be for Angelo to bump and beat Glazier?  Does SDSU face Iowa this year?

Focus won on the mat, Glazier won the off the mat altercation thus hand raise and got the W.

Can we agree Focus got the most style points after?  🤔

How many of the psu faithful griped last year around NCAAs.

If I remember Cstar defaulted twice at big 10s and people couldn’t fathom that he carried those losses.   They couldn’t fathom they should be counted as losses.   They cried he should be the #1 seed.  Were you one of those psu faithful?   I don’t remember honestly.

you can admit its possible, not playing gotcha.

If you're one of those, like me, who do not believe in no-win scenarios, then you believe anything is possible.

Using the same logic I would use to say that yes, it is and was possible, I will also admit that it is possible for Cam Amine to beat both of them at 184lbs this year in an epic three-way wrestleoff.

Oh absolutely.

That said, the actual match itself was a *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* match.  Poorly wrestled on both sides.  Neither of those wrestlers are contenders to win a title this year, if that is the version of themselves that show up at NCAAs.

Ha, no.

While I believe that stronger Penn State wrestling ultimately benefits USA wrestling as a whole, I’m not a Penn Stater—nor am I a Penn State hater. I’m a fan of USA wrestling first and foremost. Beyond that, I root for Michigan kids (like Barr, Facundo, and Davis at Penn State; Edmond at Mizzou; and Swideriski at Iowa State/Central Michigan), Michigan colleges, and then the Big Ten/MAC conferences. I could keep going, but you get the idea.

I might come across as a Penn Stater because of how much influence Cael and his coaching tree have on the direction of USA wrestling.

yeah but one is more probable.

Though honestly upon reflection the main importance of my comment is how badly ferrari screwed himself by getting dq'd (proportional or not). With him no showing at vegas and posting lame videos of himself at public gyms instead, he's apparently done and a win last year over glazier doesn't mean anything.

I won't bet on him being done until he is either behind bars or doesn't show up for conferences.

One is more likely, as you would understand.

AJF learned a valuable lesson that day, which was to wait for a hot sec to have your arm raised before clocking a guy. Make it a team point deduction instead of a DQ so the stats don't get messed up!

I see nothing to suggest he learned that lessen, he should have but ...

When are the two actually wrestling each other? I don't see CSUB on PSU's schedule.

Also let's be real. AJF wants the easiest possible path to another title so he can be all vindicated and hyper-masculine on his social media.  He will duck every potential challenger until the post-season which with CSUB's dual schedule is three guys. It's lame but predictable.

Its a fantasy match set up by @flyingcement.  The match will be held at a halfway neutral site in Dodge City, KS on February 29th.  Kyle Dake will be the main ref and David Taylor the side judge.  🤼‍♂️
