Obtuse? lol.  I asked you what NCAA wrestling event being streamed by Flo  this season you are _most_ looking forward to watching?  You then answered with every dual Flo has on the schedule this week. As if you are planning to watch every one and can't pick between them.

My overall point is that Flo's NCAA wrestling offerings are 3rd rate and a poor value. I thought by asking you that question you'd figure it out for yourself.  Apparently you got derailed when you couldn't figure out if you're more jazzed to watch Iowa wrestle Oregon State or Indiana take on Cal Poly.

Are you a Flo subscriber?

Good tournament for Japan, Russia and Georgia so far with two wrestlers in each of the finals.

Georgia's wrestlers are going against Russians, and I don't like their chances too much

He is great.  But he wasn't REALLY 20.

And in the USA we have high school sophomores like Bo Bassett who haven't committed to college yet and can buy beer for their classmates. We're regressing.

He couldn't beat Dake or Burroughs. So he ran away from them like a punk.  Now he wrestles the Tank gets thoroughly embarrassed. Shut out.  Zero points

But, somehow, some people argue that he is th GOAT.

I saw that mainly from the flo people. They are the same crew that said that Sadulaev's career would not be complete unless he beat Cox, that's how they these things out.

It was just shallow hype and prisoner of the moment. He has half the medals of some wrestlers and was losing at team trials in his mid 20s. But because Pyles woke up one day and said so, that means Taylor had a better career than  Saitiev.

Dake will not age backwards forever.

I think the only one who repeats is Snyder. Are we sure Spencer Lee wants to continue wrestling?

Spencer will be 29? That's old for a lightweight. And Spencer is injury prone. It's not that rare for the smaller weights to have one cycle in them.

Dake would be 37, that's old even for a super heavy. It's paleolithic for a 70 kger. He'd have to go up I think.

Bo is 17

That is unlikely, but possible.  What is his date of birth?  It is really weird with the conflicting DOB for him from multiple sources.

My guess is that he is probably 18 and turns 19 in the spring.

Wouldn't that put him as a 20 year old senior?  He wouldn't be able to compete as a Senior in high school at high school events.

OK, got it figured out... Social media has him turning 18 this past August.  That puts him at 19 his senior year and 20 before classes start Fall semester of his freshman year (at most schools).

So still U20 his Frosh season, but not after his Frosh season.  That is on par with most, yeah?

Zane Richards beat Gilman for his first world team at 29. What weight was that again?

Again, not saying he will make the team. But he will wrestle at olympic trials. He could blow out both knees again on March 31, 2028 and I would still bet my paycheck Spencer Lee will be at OTT one last time. He may go 86 for all I know, but he will be there. He's like JB, Snyder, Taylor, etc - wired different than the rest of us.

How did Richards do at Worlds and how was he at OTT the next year?  Hard working guy.  Had a great weekend.  Not exactly prolonged excellence that we  \are talking about here.

I was talking about perpetually injured, perpetually sucked out Vito and whether he is able to maintain his position as our top guy over the course of this next quad.  My guess is no.

Looks like the repechage bouts will be run on Mats A & B... DT isn't shown in the que as of yet.

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Bout of interest... Uguev is wrestling on Mat B.

Possible (probable) opponent for Vito in the bronze medal match.

One of the oldest men's freestyle Olympic champions is Valentin Yordanov who won the 1996 games at 36 years old.  He also won worlds in 1993, 1994, and 1995.  All of those were at 52kg.  Not sure why some posters are saying 29 is old for a lightweight.

That's impressive.  He was a great wrestler.  I saw him in person.  But lightweights tend to have shorter careers at the top.  It's just the way things work.  One example doesn't prove a trend.
