Was anyone surprised to see Terukina up at 133? In my mind, he's small for the weight and I figured ISU would have a stronger lineup with him at 125. Does that mean their (other) kid from Cuba is won't be RS this season? His name escapes me atm but he beat Richie Figs at Junior Pan Ams a while back.

Osmany Diversent. And I believe the ideal plan for ISU at 125 is for them to redshirt both Osmany and Meza and start Grice. But Grice still needs to win the spot. At least that's how I understood it from @H82Lose.

I don't know now. Here is what I know. Kyson is NOT going to get beat to Frost at 133, when that happens, he has been told he is going back down. So what does that mean? Would they RS both meza and Osmany, even if they beat Kyson? Kyson has been so up and down, I think they will want to look at other options, but that is just my opinion. Swiderski possibly going to 141 tells me Dresser is going to fill that line up to win. ( I know, Captain Obvious). One side says they will RS Osmany, but then I think, they are so loaded at 125/133 and they are young, then you have CC coming in next year, they might wrestle him. I rambling to say, I don't know crap. If I hear, I will pass along. One thing to note: Gaitan is not a lock at 165, Euton has been looking really good. Also, Ech has never looked better, if he stays healthy, he is going to be a force.

Another Note: The wrestlers love Chris Perry up there, I can see now why he is such a great recruiter.

So there is actually truth to the Swid to 141 rumor... That will be a big pull for him. But, might as well use him while he has eligibility. Swiderski on redshirt seems like a recipe for disaster.

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I assumed Osmany would RS to acclimate to the style and maybe the cut. Speaking of, do you think he can manage 125? I figure if he's like 22 and making 57kg, he probably won't outgrow the weight. But hard to tell.

Also will Terukina have any more eligibility after this season? Would be nice to see him put some real focus into his senior(?) season and make some noise at 125. Part of the reason for his lack of consistency was discipline, plain and simple, but Dresser has said that Kysen's moved past the partying and hijinks and is doing all the right things.

Matty lopes down at 125 is super super interesting I honestly dont know the last time he was that low. Sheldon would be my pick there but still very cool. I heard Stanich was weighing like 160 but still crazy to think he could go from 125-149.

141  Composto v. Mougalian v. Hauserman

149 Wasilweski v. Dunnigan v. Delsanter

157 Swisher v. Troczynski v. Ognissanti

165 Sement v. Spencer v. Thomson v. Fullmer

174 Incontrera v. Bennett

184 Taylor (2nd semester Max Hale expected to compete)

197 Cosgrove v. Connolly

285 Cruise v. Delsanter v. Pardo

Not sure I would expect similar results from last year at 125 but if he ends up a true 149 I think that bodes really well for him long term. Wrestling lighter fast guys his entire life I would imagine he will have a great speed advantage over the still fast but not quite as fast guys.

From what I gather from some of my fellow posters over on the LEHIGH sports forum, tonites wrestle-offs are more of an introducing of new faces and more established wrestlers going up against some of the up & comers in the room. Not the end all/ be all results that will show up in the first dual of the season. (Others from the B&W side of things can certainly fill in more/ or correct any info that I may have lay out, of course.)

there is 100% truth to the rumor. Here is the absolute head scratcher for me, I was told Ech only weighed 148 after practice...Who the heck knows

Os is not used to this college cutting, and staying down. He is doing good, and adapting for sure. I think you are right, he is prolly a lifetime 125. Frost is cutting his balls off, he and Grice are cutting really hard. As far a Terukina, I am so back and forth with him. You go watch him, when he wants to go, he is pretty tough, but it is just in spurts. In my personal opinion, Dresser wants someone consistent. Os could be the dude. BUT Grice is tough as heck; the problem is he is kinda of inconsistent, too.
