There is one very good reason to vote for Trump:  so he can't run in 2028 or 2032.  Think about it.

That said I'm working on a deal to buy a lettuce farm its gonna be HUUGE the next 4 years.  🥗

Remember, if you vote for him and they win it in ‘24….”you’ll never have to vote again”

What do you know about them?  I've heard that it's a Peter Thiel-funded Nate Silver project, but admittedly haven't actually looked into that.   I'm skeptical of Thiel, but Silver has some big hits.  Any indication on the accuracy of their numbers?

The Peter Thiel controversy is just noise from the left when Nate Silver doesn't present data advantageous to Kamala.  No different than the conspiracies Trump supporters claim when numbers aren't advantageous to him.  Nate's out there taking fire from both sides.  That's the greatest tell tale sign he's doing a wonderful job.

I know multiple people registering for the first time, specifically to vote for Trump.

Congratulations??  (That's something that happens pretty much every...single....election).  Makes you feel a little better this morning though, doesn't it.

Are they advantageously distributed electorally or no?

These are women that have not voted because the state is a traditional conservative lock.  However, the county is progressive and their crowd is expressing Kamala support because she is a black woman (they don't know or care about her policies).  These newly registered voters "are voting so they never have to vote again."  Hopefully they keep voting after this year.

To the original question, she stated that she was at the Capitol on Jan 6th, but made no mention that she had left well before any disruption occurred and was at the DNC, for reasons unknown.  She still has never mentioned her proximity to the DNC pipe bomb.

On the subject of abortion:

“Walz, however, signed an omnibus bill in 2023 that allowed physicians to refuse life-saving care to infants born after failed abortions.

Twenty-four abortion procedures between 2015 and 2022 led to live births, according to Minnesota Department of Health records. Of the infants born alive during abortion procedures between 2015 and 2022, medical professionals provided seven with “comfort care” in an attempt to make their deaths more comfortable whereas “no specific steps taken to preserve life were reported” in one 2017 case, the National Catholic Register reported.

The legislation signed by Walz in 2023 repealed requirements mandating that providers report live births.“

As the moderator said, ""There is no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it’s born."

Well, obviously that is not true.   Perhaps actively killing a baby after a botched abortion and passively letting it die is the difference.   It is the same thing.   There is no difference.   MN proves that.

Trump asked Kamala if she was supportive of abortion in the 7th, 8th, or 9th months.   The moderators did not allow her to answer claiming they needed to move on.   If they had permitted her to answer, that would have been actual news.

If she answers affirmatively, it goes against what the majority of Americans think should be allowed, and it confirms what the conservatives have been saying.

If she answers negatively, she will alienate her base.

That would have been news and the moderation team protected her from answering that question.

Not cynical at all.  My reasoning is based on data.  Trump lost his debates to Clinton.  He also lost to Biden.  Won one election.  Lost the other.  People know who they are going to vote for at the start of the election cycle.

Lots of factors likely played into those outcomes other than the debates.

She answered that question. Not directly but KH agreed with the stipulations of Roe vs Wade. Which is tiered based on the viability of the fetus and varying conditions and the severity of those conditions as the pregnancy moves along.

That 45 didn't get the sound bite they were hoping for is not the result of moderators or anything else when the question was already answered.

BTW, the majority of Americans agree that depending on the conditions of the fetus and the effects on the pregnant person that late term abortions should be an available option.

Again, answering in the affirmative to the conditions held up in Roe vs Wade, she did answer the question. That the people who wanted a more gruesome answer didn't get it is not the responsibility of the moderator.

Also this is another example of moving the goal posts. Y'all are never happy with the answers that you get and offer up few if any actual answers. Dems always need more detail in their responses and y'all never ask for additional detail from your own candidates. Where is the health care plan 45 promised before the end of the term? You don't care about that. Or any details about the 'concepts of a plan' 45 has kicking around some where. Why isn't it front and center as an alternative to what is currently available? Wouldn't that make it obvious who has a better plan for the country, in how to help people have better and healthier lives? Infrastructure plan?

Why can't you just be honest? That you don't like dems or liberals or marxists or people with sympathy/empathy to their fellow humans or bleeding hearts or whatever you call them. That you see them as weak for caring about others and that they can take their stupid head emotional feelings and victim blaming and get out. Leaving this country to the tough ones that want a strong military and religion to run all the important services(which is where the SCOTUS is leaning towards giving them) but only to those who can afford it, of course. Because we don't like freeloaders.

She said Roe Vs Wade before she was asked the question by Trump.   So she did not answer his question.

To your assertion   https://www.axios.com/2022/05/14/abortion-state-laws-bans-roe-supreme-court

How late into pregnancy abortion is allowed

As of Dec. 15, 2023

Where things stand today

Over half of states have restrictions in place only at or after viability, or have no limit at all.

  • 24 weeks: Four states ban abortions at 24 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Viability: 14 states ban abortions after the fetus is considered viable. Some laws that don't specify a limit say it's up to the abortion provider's "judgment" to determine whether a fetus is viable.
  • Third trimester: Virginia is the only state that prohibits abortions in the pregnancy's third trimester, which starts at around 25 weeks, per Guttmacher. It's also the lone southern state that hasn't banned or restricted abortion since the end of Roe.

No limit: Six states and Washington, D.C., do not impose any term restrictions. That has not changed since the overturning of Roe.

In other words, you have confirmed that Kamala is for no restrictions on abortion.   As an example, OR passed their last abortion law in 2017 that provided for  no restrictions on when an abortion can be done.   That was the case for the other 5 states and DC before Roe vs Wade was overturned.  Thank you for making my case for me.

Pro-choicer like Kamala Harris support leaving the decision about abortion between a woman and her doctor, without government involvement. Setting a time limit on abortion acknowledges that it becomes problematic at a certain point, and they mostly avoid discussing the specifics to maintain plausible deniability. Pro-lifers face a similar challenge when discussing whether ending a pregnancy from rape or incest constitutes murder. Many hold that belief but avoid stating it openly due to the controversy it sparks. It’s easier to compromise by allowing exceptions and setting a time limit.

There should not be a Federal law on abortion.

State law was the right call.

----

Kamala has taken numerous actions supporting bills, voted against bills, made statements, and refused to answer questions... that indicate she supports the mother's choice for abortion throughout the entire nine months of pregnancy.
