Not sure what this will do for controlling the pop ad problem but Bob & Du's software development team has escaped.

The ads are not leaving.  Mgmt has said as much a few times fwiw.   When they engage they say. Geez.  I don’t see them. Show me a pic.  Etc.

Lower screen blocked off.  Results in upper screen not being accessible - can’t click on anything.  Took me a couple minutes to figure out a way to make this post by getting around the ads.  Ridiculous.

Hey @Husker_Du and @BobDole here is tonight's experience. It's not unfair to expect some modicum of a less than *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me*-tastic experience. It was literally the entire f'ing screen. Also, your targeted ads provider has always been way off but that's your problem after you figure out the ads vs real estate problem.

@Husker_Du @BobDole As a generic customer persona user I would like to have expected full UI navigation functionality.

Expected: I can view a page without being impeded, click links, and scroll without a shade blocker.

Actual: due to UI advertisements I cannot explore the page or provide customer engagement.

Do your job. It's not phucking hard. I know this because I have led digital operations for twenty years at F100 companies. Do I need to teach you how to write a user story, show you how to implement it, or ignore it and move on? Is this a red bike problem? The customer base gave a long grace period to the person who graciously does this pro bono out of the love of the sport but a spade is a spade.

We were warned...

Well ok sure we were warned we'd be getting pop up ads covering the whole page making reply, quote, etc functions unusable but were we warned about what type/content ads?  For ~three days straight (ended yesterday I think) I was getting nothing but wolf ads related to the wolf re-introduction program.  Everytime I opened up a new thread a wolf would be jumping out of a cage at the bottom of the page toward me.  Now Bob & Du might think they are cute but my first nightmare as a middle school kid was about a wolf in our back yard.  I feel may have a suit against Bob & Du for my therapy bills.  Know what I dreamt about last night?  Wolves, I was surrounded by black wolves ... don't know how it ended.  🐺

So if users use ad blockers, does that reduce revenue to the site?  If so, I’d be curious if the site is actually making more via ads than it was previously because the site is pretty much unusable with the ads.  No issues using an ad blocker though

here's where i'm at guys...

Bob controls the ads. i don't know how to do it, nor care too much, to be completely honest.

my user experience on both mobile and desk top are fine. not intrusive whatsoever.

idk what settings i have vs. what some of you experiencing problems have

maybe @BobDole can chime in, but i just don't see the problem (and certainly not a widespread one)

Love this one ….  Takes up whole screen.  How to get out????  No ‘x’ to press.  Don’t want to click on the ad.

This is ridiculous.  Keep head in sand.  As I type this damn ad popped up twice more / no three times more!

(Best guess - while my iPhone keyboard is up - theoretically covering ad in lower right, while typing a click on keyboard in area over the ad is causing ad to take over screen.  This sucks.)

Five pages of people reporting significant UI issues with photos to show the actual behavior disagrees with your opinion

What browser are y'all using on mobile that doesn't have the ads? I've used google chrome and safari and they're annoying af. Desktop is totally fine (chrome w/ adblock).

Boss level comment lol.    I swear bob said someone else directed him to do it but I’m to lazy to find which ad complaint thread it’s in.
