That might be the most pretentiously liberal arts sentence ever written.

Which is why I hedged the claim in the very next sentence.

He finished 2nd at 157 this year and achieved a 4.0 GPA.  Impressive.

even more impressive is that "the die-hard Penn State fan" points out that the Nits made history at the 2024 NCAA tournament by having both the Champ (Levi Haines) and (apparently) the 2nd place finisher at 157!

Does this mean that it was Teemer that lost to Carr by a point at 165?

Nah.  Teemee lost to Haines.   Carr beat Bartlett and Mesenbrink lost to Mendez at 141

Nah you’re wrong hammer, what be had to say came from the heart. I bet loosing to Nolf the way he did had alot to do with what he was feeling at that moment.

ohh ... that sounds hard!  What do you do with a liberal arts degree?

Can you define “liberal arts degree”?

Quite a few things fall under that umbrella.

Architecture, mathematics, chemistry, physics…

What else are we supposed to do with these degrees?

Places I'm familiar with had Architecture, Physics, Math etc. as majors.

What does one take first year LA major ... well besides swimming?

Calc, Stats, or whatever math you tested into (Dif Eqs?); Chem, Bio, or Physics;  Western Civ; Hist of English; World Language ... the stuff most first years take. But, I think I'm misunderstanding what you guys mean by Liberal Arts major. I was using it as an umbrella term for the all non-STEM majors.

I don't know what it is, that's what someone said is his major.  I'm just glad I never had to take History of English cause straight English seemed hard enough.

Carr is in Grad school so I'll go with him

There's grad school (PhD in Austrian and Experimental Economics at George Mason) and then there's grad school (MA of Leisure Arts at OSU).

Haha true. Messenbrink is still probably taking Intro to XYZ classes though. Carr is taking Grad courses in something (even if it's leisure arts, plenty of intricacies in the leisure arts at that level).
