You seemed to suggest that Biden wasn’t doing enough of …something… to ease inflation.

Given that the majority of inflation is basically a cash grab to please shareholders, perhaps federal controls on price gouging might help you at the gas pump?

I mean, there are a lot of things the federal government has done at points in the past (1940s, for example) to control prices. Would you like those re-enacted?

When a president of the largest economy in the world comes in and on day one implements a record number of executive orders, many impacting the future of energy it’s going to have an impact on many things.  Oil goes up, transportation goes up and so on.  Pretty simple concept.   Nice article on Europe

1.  Biden caused the inflation.   Biden could have stopped the inflation.   But he chose not to stop the vast amounts of money to keep on being spent.  Stimulus 2, Green new deal etc.

2.  Inflation is not a cash grab by anyone but the government.   Inflation is the economic  response to too much money in the supply which makes everything more expensive.   Everything.   It makes producing something more expensive, it makes packaging something more expensive, it makes transporting something more expensive.   Federal price controls without accounting for inflation is certain to put businesses out of business.

3.   See item 2 above.

So, are you actually suggesting that corporations didn’t make record profits?

Because the data clearly shows that labor, capital and other costs don’t account for their increased prices.

Not a suggestion, but fact: the economy was recovering perfectly during the end of 2020 and started tanking shortly after Biden started Bidenomics.  It began with his attack on the petroleum industry and spiraled from there.

Whenever you hear someone use the word "perfect" to describe their political leanings... you know they are lying.

Nearly nothing is perfect in this world.

And of those very few things that are, politics and politicians will never be among them.

you guys remember last summer when all the libs on here denied soft on crime policies and offenders getting out on the streets immediately?

Democrats seem to have selective memory. So of course they will deny it.

Heck, you can even beat up a cop in NYC and get out without bail.   And then escape to CA.

https://nypost.com/2024/02/01/metro/police-believe-4-of-the-migrants-arrested-in-nyc-cop-beatdown-fled-to-california/

Four of the migrants cut loose without bail after allegedly ganging up on two NYPD cops near Times Square may be on the run, The Post has learned.

Cops believe the group could have hopped on a bus bound for California on Wednesday after giving phony names to a church-affiliated nonprofit group that helps migrants get rides out of the city, according to law enforcement sources.

Let's see if they honor their court dates and prove this wrong.

To be clear, I spent a good amount of time in Venezuela in the 80's and love the country.   But it has turned into a very bad place and I feel bad for those that live there under horrendous conditions.   But I do not feel bad for these thugs in NYC.   Deport them now.

They already headed to the border.  I think in California or Arizona. We will never see them again. Just insane.

If only we would never see them again.  That would be the second best option.  These turds are unflushable.  They'll be back.

this should be fun.

the only guideline is it has to be something on video that's amazingly stupid. don't start/add something that's just your own thoughts. if you do, you'll be banned for life.

And then what happened?

I hope you don't play poker; your bluff is easy to spot.

i sincerely think anyone that votes democrat has a screw loose and looks at politics (and votes) on the side-show that it is and not the policies they endorse.

Rashida Tlaib and Cori Bush just voted against a ban on Hamas being allowed to enter the U.S.

When does your ban for life start? lol

Just to address this since the rule no longer applies, they voted no because any member of Hamas is already banned from entering the US by law - obviously. It was a BS messaging bill that accomplished nothing. Might as well have passed a bill making murder illegal while they were at it.

A bill that duped everyone else?   Not likely.   They were the only ones to vote NO.

https://nypost.com/2024/02/01/news/democratic-reps-rashida-tlaib-and-cori-bush-vote-no-on-bill-banning-hamas-terrorists-from-us/

The bill passed the lower chamber 422-2, with Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-Ill.) voting present and six members not voting.

Your answer and that vote does not square with each other.    Let's get one thing straight.   Illegal aliens are by law illegal and it is illegal for them to come here.   That doesn't seem to be stopping anyone coming across the border.   Shows the lie that those two are plying.   Apparently their concern for redundant laws was not persuasive to the 422 others who voted for it.

You're so close to getting it....lol

So what you are saying is those two saw the truth where 422 of the others did not.   And you have a really good bridge to sell me.   Got it.

In all fairness, often legislatures will vote a certain way knowing it has no practical impact, but it puts their vote on the record. Not a matter of being “duped”, but more not going to be on the record voting no.  Politics….
