You are falling for garbage journalism and data.  A quick explanation:  Illegals work for cheaper wages than legal workers, therefore any collections from their wages are less than what would be paid by workers making higher wages.  There are many programs that allow illegals to receive benefits, and many have work-arounds that enable them to collect benefits dishonestly.  As for jobs Americans won’t do, a study done a few years ago showed that not one single job category was filled by more illegals than legals.  Not one.  What is factually correct is that their presence and their occupation in the workforce, is detrimental to the strength of the economy, and the wages of legal lower and middle wage workers.  They may be beneficial to the chamber of commerce, but they are a net drain on the country.

No problem.

Quoted from the piece.

Undocumented immigrants[10] support economic growth, pay taxes, and keep our city and economy running as essential workers.

  • Although they are ineligible for Social Security, Medicaid, and most public benefits, undocumented immigrants help sustain[11] these vital entitlement programs by contributing billions of dollars into Social Security[12] and billions more into local, state, and federal taxes.
  • In 2021, undocumented immigrants contributed[13] $30.8 billion in total taxes nationally, including $18.6 billion in federal income taxes and $12.2 billion in state and local taxes.
  • In New York State, undocumented immigrants paid[14] $3 billion in taxes.
  • Undocumented immigrants make up approximately 3.2 percent of the U.S. population, but 4 percent[15] of the country’s workforce.
  • Undocumented immigrants are the backbone of many vital industries across New York. 70% of undocumented workers in New York are essential workers.[16]

How much we spend to deny entries, rather than simply documenting people and allowing them to go through the process to attain citizenship, is entirely our own cost.

The lines are made up and the scores don't count.

And are a National Security Risk

i didn't think you could get any dumber but you went ahead and used, as a source of your stupidity, the utterly biased inanity of the NYC administration.

the same administration whose leader (mayor) has begged and pleaded with washington to assist financially.

So you don't think we should trust the department that is suppose to keep track of all these numbers?

Please point me to a more reliable source and we can discuss the bias/unbias nature of that info?

But to simply say that you don't trust it without offering a reason (because the mayor could have a political reason to craft a different narrative despite the numbers not saying what you want them to say), smacks of your fear that the info might actually be legit and it runs counter to the idea you have in your head. Either get over it or converse honestly.

A single person, and these are all just single people, are not national security risks. As much as you might need that to be true, it isn't. These are not coordinated efforts by immigrants to destabilize our country. Unlike those that are working for a Christian ethno-state in Idaho or Utah or just about everywhere else. Who are citizens. With all the rights and privileges that come with it.

That's the Build Back Better plan...

I have a feeling I know the answer already but I'd hate to assume.

You know this for a fact, how?

Ummmmmmm. Your own government says it’s a security risk. Life is so hard for you.

What crime is that exactly? Just being present in the US without a valid visa or something is a civil violation, like a traffic ticket. So you are wrong.

by contrast

Simply put, illegal immigration is a felony under Mexican law. In fact, Article 123 of the General Law of Population mandates that “a penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five hundred thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally.”
