Can someone please explain why there are 2-5 different Pools?  Now seeing Shapiro and Haines are not going to be able to wrestle and that pisses me off.  What is the deal and formatting here...?

Now that I know, that pisses me off too. What a great match that would have been...

You and @nhs67 need to take a breath and relax. It's a long season. Pace yourselves...:classic_cool:

I agree..... your anger can't peak this early....it's gotta build to that right moment when you need it most.  That's what a good coach does for you...helps you peak at the right time. You're welcome.

I don’t think Penn State is sending any (likely) starters besides Messenbrink.

That said, if he actually wrestles, attached, it has lineup implications down the line. Also, I think he murders Ramirez.

Edit: I may be very wrong. My info was based off of the first slate of entries for PSU.

Teemer vs Meyer will be a good test

I know that.

My question was how and why are they formstted this way?

Haines, Teemer, Shapiro in one Pool makes more sense, competitively.

We are also deprived of Brooks VS Beard at 197, Howard VS Ungar at 125, Trephan VS Fernandes at 285, Parco VS Van Ness at 149...

I am sure if I understood the criteria for separation I would 'get it' better and be okay with it.

There are pools with multiple guys from the same teams and that is frustrsting too.  Braden David and Gary Steen probably want to wrestle other guys, not teammates.

Not everyone in a pool wrestles everyone else in the pool.  Six guys means three on each side of the pool, and the matches are between sides in the same pool (so three matches each for a six man pool).  Ungar and Diakomihalis are probably on the same side at 125, so they'll not face each other.

Is it still possible to sign up for one of the minor sports within the Flo environment and get a month to month subscription which would then allow migration over to view wrestling? I see posters mention this technique on occasion but have no idea if it works.

looks like a fun format with a lot of interesting matches - should be interesting!  Will be nice to see where CJ Composto is after a year out of NCAA action.  Pretty good top bracket at 141!

Hoping that getting bumped down to the 197 lb "B" pool does not shake the confidence of Aaron Brooks as he explores competing up a weight from where he has had NCAA success.

I’m guessing the guy who has scored the most TDs on David Taylor since the 2021 Worlds will be OK wrestling some 197lb college kids.

Most likely because Haines sees Teemer in a couple weeks at ASC as well as Van Ness/Parco

Brooks/Beard meet in a few weeks as well vs Lehigh

That's going to be a trainwreck by the start of the third period. Beard needs to bite the bullet and channel his inner light heavyweight to keep a full gas tank.
