The call is alphabetical. I started listening in the D's. We are in the F's and there are already 5 no Jordan I have heard.

I must be behind in the feed, McArthy just now speaking.   Is he trying to get Jordan less votes???

After their conference last night one of the republicans came out of it and said the number could grow somewhere between 30-40

I think the final total was 25. If he really wants to get it over 30 he will have to hold another meeting.

I'm thinking Jordan needs to stop.   When McCarthy did this, he had just a few holdouts and he was the hands on heir apparent.   Jordan isn't.  There is no heir apparent.    It is a unique time in House history that the majority doesn't have a clear leader.

McCarthy won't leave the Speaker's office and gets upset when Gaetz comes and takes a dump in his private bathroom.

That's the Republicans in a nutshell.

Republicans are now taking a secret ballot vote on whether Jordan should remain the speaker designate. The options are yes, no, and present.

I am assuming that he will have many, many fewer yes votes than what he got on the floor in public. But it is unlikely the results will be released. Leaked perhaps, but not officially released.
