That is earnings BEFORE interest. With $13 billion in new debt and an annual interest charge of a little over $1.2 billion, they really only broke even. The good news is there is enough revenue to service the debt now. There is no doubt that Musk's decision to align himself completely with Trump, including providing massive financing to his campaign (where is @Paul158 with his outcries of buying votes now?) and Trump's very transactional nature, has made it difficult for companies to not do business with Musk.

But the reason the debt is able to move at these prices is because Musk included an xAI equity kicker to get the deal done.

Sounds like a “ Jesus can’t swim” type response.

People who tolerate me on a daily basis . . . they are the real heroes.

Just realistic. He aint Jesus. He had to give away something very valuable to get this debt sold. Equity in xAi is a very valuable asset.

Altman trolling Musk now

I’m not a big fan of Musk, but there is definitely something about Altman that seems super shady.

Something about this seems shady...

  • Profiting off a non profit
  • Reinstated to leadership after being fired for lying
  • A sister claiming abuse at his hands

The left have not removed their playbook from consideration.   They are using the old playbook and it is going nowhere for them.   They look like lunatics when they continue to say nazi this and nazi that and authoritarian this and president Musk etc etc.   Even with all that, Trumps polling is going up not down.

image.png.7219ec9a7caff4d3de63e7786991a1c7.pngRead it and weep folks.   His unfavorables are going down and his favorables are going up.   He is more well liked now than at anytime during Trump 1.0.   The left just doesn't get that the old playbook is obsolete.   Time to talk about improving things in America for Americans.   Not for this group or that group.   It's not a big secret, it's just that they have not come to grips with this yet.

The non-profit owns a for-profit entity. Altman works for the for-profit entity, not the non-profit.

Yeah, when everyone threatened to quit and the board of the non-profit was threatened with having their asset decrease in value, things changed. We have a President how got reinstated after being caught in untold lies, why do we care what a private company does?

No idea about the sister.

The more interesting thing to me is this is some high level rich guy trolling. Musk's bid is not all that serious. It is just designed to make it very expensive, and therefore very hard, for the for-profit entity to buy itself from the non-profit entity. This while Musk is also suing to prevent the transaction. Good stuff.

So, you're admitting that Americans currently have an UNFAVORABLE opinion of Donald Trump? Good on you.

And that the current status is higher than he's been at anytime since elected in 2016.

In other words, as the President - TRUMP HAS NEVER BEEN FAVORABLE.

Trump is old and on his last legs. Much of what he says is logically incoherent. A stream of drivel from an old man. (Gulf of America? Seriously? Buy and rename Greenland to Red, White, and Blue Land? Seriously? Riviera in Gaza? Seriously? Trump appears to have been put on backseat, yell-at-the-sky duty while Musk does actual President things.)

Now that Musk is the acting President, it'll be interesting to see.

Yes, Musk is an African migrant, but let's Make Africa Great Again while we're at it. Why not. He's rich and backseat  Trump has given Musk a free pass to make the US Govt his playground.

In 2024. The ~49% vs ~48% election?

The one where politicians are telling us voters have "overwhelmingly" chosen - when in fact, it was only a tiny margin.

Sure, that's easy to explain.

Most of the country isn't on the far right or far left (contrary to what politicians tell us.)

During the elections, most don't love or even like either candidate. Most are picking between "the lesser of two evils."

So most vote the party they prefer (which makes sense), others pick a specific topic (abortion, gun control, etc.) and others just hold their nose and try to do their best. Quite a few stay home, feeling it is pointless.

So some R's voted for Trump who don't like him, some D's voted for Biden who don't like him, etc.

When the votes are tallied - what you will get is a the popular vote results.

What you won't get is the view of the people as to who they find favorable and who they don't.

You're not wrong. It is mind boggling. But it is what it is.

LOL...what in the heck are you even talking about...you are just saying words and somehow come to the conclusion that the person who won...by a landslide...isn't representative of what the people want and voted for??  Why in the heck do we even have elections than??  You literally just talked yourself into knots...LOL
