Additionally I wish Zahid Valencia and Cael Valencia would also wrestle for Mexico.

Mexico, Puerto Rico... just need a few others to have our own little Eastern Bloc.

I believe it goes off of Olympic standards for UWW.

Typically a grandparent must have citizenship or something like that.

I heard that all the country has to do is "claim you", and some countries charge a lot of money to be a "citizen" and others not so much...but I may be wrong.

They likely have parents from the respective countries and have citizenship through their lineage.   My children are like that.

Philippines did this with Andray Blatche for basketball.  He had no connections to the country whatsoever.  They sought to nationalize him for use on their national basketball team because he was never going to be good enough to make team USA

I have no issue with people chasing their dreams for other countries.   Myles Amine did it and has an Oly Bronze to prove it.   He couldn't have done that here.   He can't make the team.   Competition is incredible, yet he has proved he is very elite.   Others have done similar.   Good for them.   Ultimately, they are not competing for the country, but for themselves.   They are going for individual glory.

For Puerto Rico, you need to have parents or grandparents that were born in Puerto Rico

Some background on that, "in 2018, 64 percent of all Puerto Ricans lived in the 50 states and in the District of Columbia, while the remaining 36 percent lived in Puerto Rico", which leads to other issues about identity... Not sure how other countries' folks see it, but in PR's case I'm all for it
