We called it run the pipe. Gibbons was just wrong or didn’t realize what he saw.

That reach-through, block the back of the far thigh was something different.

I learned it as "run the pipe" - after the oil riggers in Oklahoma who used to pass sections of pipe pulling between their legs.

I personally know a ton of guys that have wrestled and do wrestle for John Mark Bentley. They have a lotttttt of loyalty to him. He gives kids a chance when no one else would (Milner was a 1 time North Carolina state champion). Those kids would do just about anything for him. It’s why they don’t leave. I knew Austin Trotman well back in the day and was the first one that started that ball rolling.

Oh I know. I wrestled for UTC JMB is a hell of a coach. I saw the trend of them overtaking UTC coming. I even talked about, not that long ago, about how while he can be a bit like Zeke in the corner. He’s a hell of a coach

I think it was Ed Peery at Navy who taught it like that - he was an Oklahoma guy.

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

God made him to...beat another guy?  I don't understand this thought process from very religious folks.  I ask this earnestly, is the idea that God favors one of his children over another?

Brooks slips in a provocation to his religious remarks:  he referred to the "false prophet Mohammed".

Not going to score any points with the Iranians or some of the Russians.

Or, for that matter, free-thinking atheists.

Btw, was Starocci talking about Usman? That’s even crazier to call out a guy like that on ESPN. I respect the cajones.

Usman just lost, so....Starocci needs to talk about Leon now.

Yup.  I think he said champ too?  I guess no one told him Leon Edwards is still the title holder
