Between the no call on Robb's clear TD last week and the no pin call against Andonian in the quarters, this guy has to be one of the luckiest wrestlers I've ever seen.

Anyone who believes in luck is probably on a message board complaining about it rather than on the ... oh, wait.

Is there definitive proof that Haines was pinned though?

There is know definitive  proof he was pinned. The ref was in a really good position to see it if he was pinned. The view the ESPN camera angle was not view the ref had.

I'd say the guy in stripes probably had the best view of anyone to determine this......no one else had this same view......

Luckiest ever? Probably not. Luckiest this weekend? Absolutely.

Also, LOL at the dude claiming there is no such thing as luck. That's a top-self idiotic statement lol.

Imagine claiming that an 18 yr old true freshman who won the big tens and is in the ncaa semis bc of luck , not one video or still shot shows Haines shoulders on the mat but all you keyboard warriors apparently have Clark Kent x ray vision and saw it … are we really still bringing the up the Robb match ? It was questionable call at the end of the 1st period , Robb is a 5th year guy who was undefeated and ranked 1 all year and he had 2 periods plus OT to score on the “lucky” true freshman and didn’t come close again

They are so close to getting this overturned, though.

Sometimes it is better to be lucky than better.  In Levi's case being both lucky and better seems to be mysteriously working for him.  Go figure.

And AJ may be the luckiest ever.  He's not dead or in jail.  Yet.

What I get from this is  Andonians body language saying please call it, please.  I'm gassed I can only last another minute or so.

A sign that hangs next to my BIL's pool table has always rung true with me. "Pool is a game of luck, the more you play the luckier you get".

Wrestle your ass off and good things happen.

Lots of guys are much 'luckier' but simply don't take advantage of the opportunities.  I thought he got some beneficial reffing against Andonian, but he took that crack in the door and kicked it in and dominated the next 5 minutes.  Good for him.
